Old game by now I know seen it for £7 on play for my 360 tho and I just couldn't resist after playing all the previous Phantasy Star games.

Does anyone have PSOU and if so is there any way you can choose new characters in the single player mode? I liked the large choice of character/looks you could get on some of the previous games while in single player mode but this doesn't seem to have it :/

I'm not that far in yet perhaps its an unlock or something later I dunno (currently only upto chapter 3)

i played the pc version and u play thru it in story mode first. but can also make a non story character but stuff will be locked until u clear the story.

the non-story mode is MUCH better btw.. however....

NEVER EVER EVER be tempted by the online mode. it is the worst kind of grind you have ever seen and its just horrific game in general online.

if u must feel the need to play phantasy star online.... try one of the private servers now the official phantasy star online: blue burst one has shut down.

PSOBB was a far FAR better game to play online.

PSU was rather a let down for me. They removed all the fun from the PSO series.

Still with the recent announcement of Phantasy Star Zero for the DS which thus far seems like PSO for the DS with free online play happy days might return
