Can we get it a own "sticky" or a separete forum section?

"Art", such as writings, pictures and all that got pushed to creative section 'cause it was cluttering the forums. Thus mainly killing the whole thing.

EVE discussions were taken out of the OT, killing it again for most part, because we liked to talk about it.

I think it's only fair, with the whole thread titles making no sense and less even then the content, to a large amount of forum users, that it be kept somewhere else.

Example: Thought this had to do something with cowpokes and horses, until the -third- post when ronaldo name came up.

So, here it is, finally, a petition to move the crap to one thread, sticky it, make a subforum or do SOMETHING to please the people who really don't care about it

As well as the fact the average football thread doesnt have a sensible title so your first point is irrelevant.

I'd be more then happy not to click on the thread, but if the thread(as shown on the example) title is something totally bonkers, it's not really my fault.

I tried earlier to tell the footy people, nicely i might add, to put a "Football" tag on the thread title, but i guess it was too "much" of an effort towards the community.

I'm sure i'm not the only one who likes to think of this place as more then a linkdump.

As another example, when people started to complain about my "TehSeel" threads, i started to tag it. Just so people who didn't care for such didn't have to bother.

I understand the "don't open it" bit, and the fact that separating into a footie thread would be too much work for the "officials", but i'd just like the tag part atleast since it's such a popular topic still.

I mean, we've had alot of "study" related issues, and people tag/name those so that people know. But for some odd reason, footie threads have to be under some weird code language.

I like the footie discussions but I don't see how they are different then the eve discussions... and thus agree that they should be moved to their own forum (which I'd read daily).

In fact seeing as it is ultimately an MMO that brought 98% of the people to this forum in the first place I'd say moving discussions about Football would have to come BEFORE moving discussions about an MMO.

I think that´s true for quite a lot of threads on OT, not only the ones about football.

Yeah sure i reply, just for the heck of it since i'm there.

But would it really bother people so much to tag it as "Footie: (witty title here)" ? Takes like what, 2 seconds?

Would just be some common courtesy, not like i'm asking for too much.

On a plus note the "Footie:" tag would keep me AWAY, along with my humorous comments like "Is this the -sport- they call soccer?"

Really would be a win-win.

I can understand Toh's point of view here in a way, but I would be against moving football(or any other sport) threads to another section, because as tris said it will mean that people have to spend more time checking different sections. Too many sections kills the forum imo.

I dont like football personally, so I dont read the threads, on the odd occasion when I accidently find my self in a football thread I press the back button, just hate getting into it

In a way it would be good to see a tag for football threads, but part of me says this is unfair to those people who want to talk about football, why should they have to do this when someone talking about politics/technology/carrots doesnt?

I'd personally say leave things as they are - its a bit of a pain for the few of us who dont like football but imo we are either a very vocal minority, or near equal share, when compared with those people who do like it. The only way I can back that statement up is by the fact that there are so many football threads being made (and replied to) in the first place
