LOL

What is this lanky string of piss doing in the england squad? As if Sven overlooked Marcus Bent for Peter Crouch.

As much as i love Bent, the problem is his lack of goal scoring ability... Sure he runs everyone off the field, but i dont know.. We need someone for England who can score goals.

Peter Crouch is a good player, albeit a lanky git, but maybe when Southampton get relegated Everton can put a cheeky bid in for him ;)

England are a joke. I'd rather support scotland than stand in a pub next to shitty fans cheering cockneys and scousers on.

Just wish that a few years back, all the united players had stuck 2 fingers up to playing for country, when all the in-bred pondlife wanker fans we're singing "stand up if you hate man yoooo" at english games. Can fill the squad with bolton, west ham and wigan players and see how much the fuckers have to celebrate every international competiton then

I can't believe I've just read that, you are aware that you only signed Rooney on the back of his outstanding performance in Euro 2004. Everyone hates another team being successful, its part of football, you always want your team to win. But when its england, its a chance for you all to cheer on your country, and I have to admit, I even want scumball (Judas aka. Sol Campbell) to play well.

As for supporting scotland, don't talk such blashpemy, thats like deciding to switch support to chelsea. Of course you do always get the glory supporting fools, who should be named and shamed!

Back to the topic, it is only a friendly, I see no problem in picking Crouch for it, we can see him miss a sitter, and never play again. Its better than him missing it in the World Cup Final. People moan about Sven playing all these players, but how else is he meant to pick his squad, he has to try them out. Granted he played de-de de-de, Andy Johnson! in the wrong position, but thats what you get with a senile old manager. The media always say who he should pick, generally cause they are on a rich vein of form, then ridicule them for poor performances (James Beattie anyone). At least he can try them a few times in meaningless matches, and then ditch them.

You support ManYoo, you are a cock. (I retract that if you live VERY close or have some exceptionally good reason to do so).
Ok, aside from that, you are talking complete crap, you get cockfaces supporting any team in any sport. If you have no interest in england, fuck off and live in afghanistan, itd save me typing stupid shit like this, to some idiot, who clearly isnt worth the text, but brought to my attention by someone pointing it out as ridiculous.
Thanking you in advance,
Cya mate!

no. united had been keeping tabs on rooney for a while before euro 2004, and fergie actually wanted him to develop at everton for another season, but didn't want to run the risk of chelsea or arsenal signing him first.

oh i have to add, err no we're not. he has close to 70% of the shares and needs 75%+1 to have a controlling stake in the club and 90% to bring an enforced sale of the remaining 10%.

get a clue

Glazier now has "ultimate control of the company" as he has 51% of the shares. Therefore, he has final say on anything. The rest of the shareholders cannot veto anything he proposes. He wants 75% of the shares, so he can take the club off the stock exchange

thats wrong m8 soz.
This is half the problm no-one actually knows for sure what is or will happen if he gets control. All the season ticket burning is a knee-jerk reaction to what might happen, and all the speculation and rumors is just fuel to the fire.
Personally i'm gonna keep supporting my team, wait and see what happens and as always, keep laughing at the clueless united haters that keep us in the headlines week in week out

There is already a thread about this, so lets get back onto topic please?

Crouch in the squad isn't ideal, it's a joke really. But Sven hasn't got a lot of choices, his entire first team have withdrawn cause they want to rest (and quite rightly after this season for most of them), or have injuries that need mending. However he needs to pick and play Andy Johnson, and stick him upfront, not on the wing.

lol no its not wrong. He has over 51% of the shares, therefore he has control of the company, he can theoretically do whatever he likes with it. He wants 75% so it becomes a private company rather than a public one giving him even more control. If he has "the clubs interest at heart", then why does he want a controlling share (ie the 51%) and why does he want 75% of shares to make it a private company? Ive seen many cases similiar to this throughout my time, and in 99% of them, the person gunning for control has always had an ulterior motive. Not saying that this is the case with Glazier, but if i were a man u fan, i would be extremely concerned.

As of 6pm and close of stock exchange he's got 74.8%. Shares for United are still trying to get the magic 25%.

I can only agree with you ;)

Crouch does seem to be an interesting player. I've only seen a few matches with him, and he seems to be very usefull. How tall is he anyway?
