Is there anyway to do the Free-training with only 1 man on the pitch? 1 man + opponent goalie i mean.

How do i transfer players between teams? I wanna beef up my Lyon a bit by bringing Henry home but cant find a way to do it? :( What league type for single player is prefered? :)

Player transfers are in Edit Mode. It is unbelievable simple, plus im very tired so i wont explain how to do this, it's easy to work out.

Regarding the training, may i ask why? I assume it's to work on your finishing?

Just play against Iran or some crap team with a normal formation (as opposed to 5-4-1 super defensive) on 1 Star, you will be able to practice shooting easy

I wanna train dribbles and some special finishes :) I've seen some videos on youtube where there is a single player + goalie on free-training

I've done this on the old games, but not pes6 (as big headed as it sounds im pretty good at the game so i never bother with training mode).

The way they probably do this is to go into Training mode, pick the team and then you end up on a screen much like the formation screen, but this screen lets you remove/add players onto the pitch. Normally it's [] or X depending on gamepad. When you are on this screen you can remove your own players too. There is usually a button which allows you to jump onto the opposing side. If not, you would need to press Start, and on the main screen change your team via the controller setup. Then remove the players that way.

Sorry my answer is vague :(

My biggest tip is to play the game on 1star or 2 (if your new to the Pes series), learn the fundamental basics, then once you can thrash the CPU, put it on 4 stars. 3 Stars is a nigthmare to play, they know how to defend, yet they never attack with any strength so you will never get counter-attack oppotunities etc.

Learn not to hold sprint R1 down all the time, you cant dribble whilst sprinting and you have poor ball control. R2 gives closer control of the ball, however you move a little slower.
I normally run at normal speed towards the defender, then turn diagonally, then sprint when he's close to attempting a tackle. With a bit of practice you will find the CPU or Human opponent commits to tackle, but you have already bashed it past him.

The other thing is if you cant pass the ball forwards to someone with a bit of space etc, pass it backwards, then use that player to draw a defender, then you can play a through ball etc.

Super Shot.
This is in my opinion an unfair thing, however everyone uses it so you're screwed if you dont.

When running around near the corner flags or edges of the 18yard box, look for a player in/around the 18yard box semi circle, pass it to him and hold square (so he shoots as soon as the ball gets to him, as opposed to controlling it first), this pretty much sends a Rivaldo Mega Blast towards the goal. You can score quite often via this technique, hence the "Fucking cutback king" comments some players receive.

Oh yeah, if the player has good shot accuracy and technique, you can attempt something Thierry Henry is a master of.

Have you ever seen Henry IRL with the ball at X, he uses the inside of his foot to shoot, adding curl so that he gets the ball top corner (position A)?

When you have the ball in the ideal position, shoot with a little more power than you'd normally use, but hold R2 before he kicks the ball, this lets the player use the inside of his boot instead of the laces

Against another player who does this, it's possible to cover them most of the time with some tactical defence. Use the square button to draw a second defender onto the person with the ball and use the person you have selected to cover any free routes into the outer area of the box. With practice you can cut out a significant number of those kind of attacks and very often it'll lead to a counter attack oppurtunity :)

Other then that, I'd say pretty much what bahamut said.

As for changing players teams, you have to be careful with what you do. Basically, any one player can have 1 national team and 1 club team. So if you go for adriano from inter (as an example), it'll take him out of there. Using the classic teams and special players saves you that hassle of worrying about destroying teams.

Me and my flatmate played some silly amount of pro last year and what we'd basically do is create our own teams using existing players and then pit them against the computer, except the other teams we chose, the 2nd player would play as. Had some fantastic leagues like that and started to discover some really underrated teams that way. For some reason I could never beat him as nigeria and he couldn't hold me to a draw as the USA...

Ooh and tips for the master league, go for people with good body balance, you can pretty much bully everyone off of the ball by doing that.

Adriano, ibrahimovic, ferdinand, ballack, etc etc...

And yes, I play dirty in pro :D

Amazon.co.uk: saitek p990

Saitek pads are cheap, last for ages, have the same button config as a ps2 (except two more buttons) and are pretty much perfect for pro :D

The 880 only had 2 shoulder buttons, 990 was great because it had 4 shoulder buttons like a ps2.

The P2600 rumble one for some reason didn't like pro that much at times. The analog sticks couldn't be configured so get the P990 instead ;)

I'm sure with a little looking around you can probably pick one up for less then the £16 listed there too.

The 880 and 990 ones do. I'd really suggest the P990 though as it has the extra shoulder pads :)

If you're on msn at all, feel free to add me (kirennia@hotmail.com) if you want me to send some ridiculously good master league teams to practice 5 star on, along with the formation I'd suggest for most, if not all teams. That's the good thing about pro on the pc, being able to swap over teams and swap them back as well :D

Got 3 seperate sets of team saves for leagues, just by replacing the 1.5meg file in 'folder 1' of your saves.

Glad you mentioned this as it's true, however you dont find alot of people do this, especially not CPU so you should be ok. If you find someone with Kirennia's tactic, that's where you will need to learn to use 1-2's, fast passing, advanced dribbling with R2 etc etc, but these things you learn from playing.

Haha online play is horrid, everyone is either Inter or Chelsea, hate it when Adriano bumps past Terry and Carvalho, then shoots a rocket at the goal!

Extra tip
If you can, buy the guide, it has a dvd showing video's of all the moves, ideas on formations, set plays etc etc. It's also got some of the good master league unknown players :)

I use this Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller for WINDOWS PC because I love the stick as opposed to D-pad, also the stick is firmer than PS2 pads.
pls note, vista = hell for all game pads, there are fixes though

It will depend on the Happiness of the player, if they are White or Blue they will suck :(

I am not aware of an Exact spot, however when running along that 18yard line, you may need to run a few steps before shooting

for example, you want to be running at a 90 degree angle to the goal, also you do not want to be sprinting

This guy posts on pesfan.com and he is the one who seems to have perfected R2 shooting.

If you look at 0:26 you will see what i mean, on his shot he is not running at right angles, however it's the closest thing i could find at short notice

YouTube - PES6 Skills: Xtreme R2 Shooting
[youtubevid]Q2ZJW62Cy2g[/youtubevid]

Also at 0:58 he does another nice one, again it's not at right angles but his play comes from the centre of the field, i prefer the right angle method when im dribbling around the corners of the box looking for an opportunity

Good master league unknown players

CF - De Squaran
Elcherino
Skorimilov

AM/CM - Bonsak

WM - Landroam
Ganarrin
Wiego

GK - Shealern (sp?)
Yalem

The defenders are all pretty bad. If you're using classics as well you've got:

CF - Palm
Zilre
Cwarim

WM - Malgani
Gulass
Lisagawski
Corthan

DM - Behrengauna
Raukoores

DF - Bruin
Palteza
Baroini
Kolmann
Lucio
Kjuna

Add in a couple like adiano, rio ferdinand, Ballack, Ronaldinho and you've got the perfect team ;)

As for formations, 3 at the back, one DM, one CM, two central wingers, one SS and two CF and you're laughing. Defnce isn't an issue as the DM, CM and occasionally the wingers will pull back to help and up front you've got a consistant strike force.

As for tactics, counter attack and central attack are the only ones I ever use; have even stopped using central attack recently against bigger defences.

And yes, I played pes6 too much, especially for a non-football fan ;)

when you start the game and press r1 or r2, i forget which one it is, there will be an arrow. If it's red, pointing up they'll play very well...yellow less so, green less, blue less and grey, just don't play them :)

edit: you can choose to play games where everyone on both teams is on a full red.

Whatever key your sprint/slow dribble on the keyboard is, will be what you use to view their happiness on the formation screen.

I have 2 formations, I found 3 at the back online is hard due to the cutback kings lol

Why play with a SS on one side and then RWF on the other side?

SS naturally makes more runs into the goal area, also he will drift into AMF positions moreso than an RWF.

RWF will go out on the wings allowing me to stretch the defense/cross/better positioned for through balls. Also RWF will not defend as much as an SS thus I always have him there for my counter attacks.
