i keep trying with stevie g but he cant get the ball of the ground with r2 i got robinho and henry too ;p

The only way it wont be getting off the ground is if you're tapping it like a normal shot or you're holding in down when you take the shot.

R2 shots need a lot more power...

Try as a start, hold in a completely different direction as you go to shoot to when the ball is in the air.
