I was making a statement, you started with the insults.

My statement wasn't directed at you. If you thought it was, then you've got the wrong end of the stick. It was however directed at the millions of 'l33t CS kiddies' that seem to populate the forums / this world, who would more than likely get such a number plate. Generally speaking ALL CS players do need a good kicking. So my original statement still stands. Not my fault you have an issue with paranoia.

ECA, I fail to see how I was trolling, as (like I've said) my statement wasn't aimed at him.

Even the font of Number plates is now regulated to just one type. The letters are now designed to be more clear as to what they are, like B's have little tails at the top and bottoms so that they look less like 8's.

You now need a license to make plates, and have to be registered to sell them, interestingly enough however, you need no bit of paper to buy number plate components from a wholesaler, bit of a gap in the security there.

They are in the car MOT, and have been for a while, though it used to just be a legibility thing, not spacing. Now anything dodgily spaced is a fail.

Buying plates is also a bit of a nightmare. Prior to September 2001 you could just walk in and say, 'I'd like a pair of plates, here's the number....' Now you have to provide proof of entitlement, V5 etc, and also proof of id. If that is something other than a photocard drivers license then you also need a seperate proof of address dated in the last 3 months. IE passport and bank statement.

I'm not a big fan of private plates, but the best i saw was RAP 1D spaced perfectly legally on a very fast TVR Cerbera at a track day at snetterton. With the wonders of my works Numbler Plate look up thing, I can now see that it is on a Ferrari 355. Also in Norwich is the plate FT 100 on a 1985 Datsun Bluebird, in rust brown, surely that would be worth an awful lot to the right city type, maybe he sees it as a retirement fund?

I used to see a Merc with B1 MB0 regularly. Also, although the DVLC filter out swear words, didn't they miss PEN 1S ? I remember seeing a news report about some guy who had that plate, and wasn't selling
