Perma FPS lag on fraps.

How can i fix this, Pc spec is quite high, but i have a perma yellow FPS lag making my screen lag ;x

Got latest fraps and fixed the problem, pc is well up to date.

Also might want to look into more ram.. fraps is a greedy bastard when it comes to it

I got about 30fps when playing and when I hit record it goes down to about 10-12... fucking annoying when your in a fight which you wanna record but also wanna see people moving and not warping across your screen.

Cheapest thing to do is buy an extra HD and set output folder from fraps to a folder on the second HD
But more ram always helps

its not just ram... daoc uses a lot of ram but fraps when recording does a lot of Disk IO.

atm im using like a 2.2 Intel P4 with Gf4 129 meg card 1 gig ddr ram and standard ide 7200 HD.

I ordered a new set up because my old pc cannot cope with frapsing and playing... I have like 25 fps normally and it drops to like 10-12 when frapsing which fucks me over.

my new rig is.

duel core AMD 4400 (solves like game.dll and fraps CPU usage by running on different cores)
a gigabyte SLI motherboard
2 GB of mem
western digital raptors X2 sat drives 10,000 rpm
gigabyte gtx7800 (for cost can use SLI with 2X 6800 GTX cards, but im waiting for cost to come down before getting another 7800)

If this doesnt give me decent FPS while frapsing then christ knows what will.

You cancut this back even more and get yourself a good duel core rig for say 700-800 quid.
