best fun is usualy gimped groups, where you have to innovate to kill anything

eg, 3 scouts standing in a triangle, with a red con mob mob in the middle, unsure who it wants to aggro the most :D

good rvr group is

warden
bard
2 druids
eld
chanter
2 heros

i wouldnt want to exp or rvr with the gimped groups our pissed of stealther thinks are good, the pain would be to much to bear.

Don't think she's pissed off, merely stating an opinion... it's one of those things we are all actually entitled to.

And as you don't mention any kind of spec for those chars I'm just trying to imagine the group, and it seems a bit defensive tbh, a good group with one or two more casters would take that group out pretty quick, 4 naturalists is a bit limiting imo.

Good PVE group.

PBT
PBAE
2-3 Classes able to take hits and taunt (Warden, hero, champ)
Power/End/HP regen. (Manamenta, bard)

Optimal RvR group
PBT
2-3 nukers
1-2 tanks
Specbuffs
Speed 5
AE CC

It might be kinda fun if the stealther classes got a thieving ability. Imagine it .. sneaking up behind some poor unsuspecting tank, and being able to randomly steal an equipped item! Then, in order to prevent said stealthers from just acquiring all kinds of items ... the stolen goods could only be exchanged for siege equipment parts, or door repair wood. I think those stealthers would find themselves much more in demand in RvR groups.

Just an idea .. no flames needed.:)

seems i don't have many people seeing things like i do on these forums, but i like my view on the world, i like the way i don't consider someone pointless or useless because they are not specifically what i want, I don't call any class a waste of group space, for any reason what so ever, since there is a player who puts time into the game on the other side.

everyone has something

just consider that.....

I have great fun grouping with stalker-types [incidentally guildies], often with a ranger and 2 'shades fitting into the tanking slots. May not be the fastest exp that it could be, but we adapt what we fight, do it fairly well and have a laugh.

The fact that they can string a coherent sentence together makes it a nice experience too, as does their ability to respond to any mishap with something other than 'FFS' and the all-too frequent diatribe. I rate good company above uberness any day of the week.

Cookie-cutting groups might make them the most efficient they could be, but thank god most times one has to make do with what's available, which makes for a more interesting experience sometimes - though downright hellish on others; yet in those instances that is more often than not due to the player, rather than the character class they're playing.

Well said Keonine, and Cher quite a few people agree with you. I will play with any class and just about any level (caveat I will always ask if I am screwing the xp in a group or if in RvR a higher lvl player would be better suited) If I have a grouping problem I move on or solo. This is a game we play to have fun, for some fun is being in 'perfect groups', but for many its being in groups where you get along and 'try' not to blame each other when it goes pear shaped, and even have a laugh or two :)

Have fun :D

i like to be group leader because i know too many other people are too soft and allow gimps into the group. real people or not some people just can't play their class so i tend to only group with people i know so i don't have to run that risk.

Best groups are the ones where people use the abilities of their characters in the best way possible despite and shortcomings arising from not having the perfect set of caharcters.

I've been in lots of groups where look at the list of characters you have isn't ideal so the sensible group has a discussion about ways to pull / share aggro / nuke etc before you pull anything.
Many groups that on paper just shouldn't work do with a little work :)
