Two weeks ago I was constantly getting rolled by big Alb groups. Last week it was a Mid zerg steam rolling everything between Bolg and DC. This week it's some Hibs.

Every realm does it, so where does all this self-righteousness come from and what does it accomplish?

There is no game mechanic that enforces fair fights. Without one, expecting fights to always (or even typically) be even is asking to be disappointed.
