Pees me off a bit. (connecting)

When eva I try to connect to a CS server it'll connected to server then it'll say disconnected befroe I get into game. So it takes maybe 2 or 3 attemps to connect. Has this happend to any one else? How do I fix it?

Are you using the ingame server browser? If so, does the 'dissconnected' message come in the form of a pop window back at the browser?

This can be caused by alot of things, but most likely because the server is full.

Your best bet is to use ASE as it is a much faster server browser, will allow you to get connected faster(so you don't get “beaten” to the spot on the server), is able to tell wether you have the map or not(one reason why you get a dissconnected message), and is gennerally win.

If the server is full it says don't it? It takes me back to the server window and just says "Could not compleate connection attempt: REASON, Could not compleate connection attempt" Somthing like that anyway.

You don't say what connection you are using. If it isn't coming up with the 'server full' msg or 'connection timed out' then it might just poor bandwidth. I used to get your problem a lot when I tried to play CS whilst a housemate was on the internet at the same time. THe ISDN couldn't handle both of us, and hence CS just kept on dying on me before connecting.

I'm on a 56K and my ISP is...er.. AOL. At first I thought it maybe somthing to do with AOL but I have used BW dial up and UK2's Dial up and the same thing happens as I said before. I'll find away of fixing it.....BTW I was reading a while ago about conection problems and that you maybe be able to fix it by (I THINK) changeing the EAST & WEST master server locations around?...Oh yeah and ShockingAlberto, I just got ASE looks pretty cool.
