During my lunch i came to think daoc,s pbt, why is there only a physical dmg pbt?

Why isent there a pbt 4 magical attacks aswell?

Would be coolt if the grp, could choose to have a phys-pbt och a magic-pbt....

And a grp shouldent be abel to have both... and they cant sync 'em?

Just a thought....

I can just see it now
Casters up in arms cos they missed 45 out of 50 spells because of dual pst <pulsing spell turn>

At the moment it seems like most hib groups have dual 6 sec pbts in their groups and I'm getting pretty used to the "miss" "your shot is blocked by pbt" messages with my scout which normally ends in the very rare hib combo of Stun nuke nuke nuke ;)

If we had a spell version as well all they'd do is switch between the 2 and we'd end up with everyone standing looking very frustrated and not landing with anything spell or weapon.

I'm sure most tanks using 2 hand or slow weapons also have the same problem as my normal bow shot is 3secs and their weapons are even slower.

If anything we should have less pbt and only single pbts not stacking but thats a whole different arguement.

its rare for a hib group (random) to have a warden let alone two...

yeah because 50%+ magic resists aren't enough to make casters feel utterly useless.

PST wouldn't really work tho because you could just use a low level shout to remove it before casting, and it would basically nullify all CC (which 1.59 pretty much does for all intents and purposes already).

You'd have to give something else to CC classes then. I think they'd be nerfed worse than "damage dealing" (stop laughing please) casters.

As for whether CC is a good thing or not, I think that depends on whether you play in the realm with a greater population or not. :p

When melees get this ill let you have spellturn:

"Someone sneezed at you and your swing is interupted"
"You cant use your spear for another 2 seconds"
"You cant use your spear for another 1 seconds"

Oh and if anyone starts agreeing with this guy, im gonna start calling you bad stuff and make it look like its true :p

Perfect! lets implement both of them, we can use casters as tanks, and bards/mincers/skalds as nukers
the hero's can stand there looking confused as they get interupted by a tiny little creature with big ears

If it was a reverse proc (rare tincture drop/set item only, see Caer Sidi stuff fe), wouldn't be that bad, with a lifetap-proc proc rate. But pulsing? Stacking PBT is bad enough.

i dont want any BT against magic...
my only way to get a warden is to kill him with DDs :D

I dont whant a grp to have both pbt and pst at the same time.

But me as a tank is starting to get annoyed on the " miss " miss" miss" ,

I have been playing 50 casters too so i know what you guys are feeling.

But the best thing woulde be ofcourse to remove pbt, and *cough* grp purge *cough*

Personally if theres to be any pulsing / turn changes then it should be to make pulsing blade turn unstackable to give archers / slow weapon users a chance, NOT add more instant miss effects, either spell or melee.

Change pbt chance to stop a hit to 90% (add 50% hit chance on crits on pbt, but only normal damage if it does get through)

Nerf pbt so they have to give the people who are just bubblebots something else, either in those lines (earth for theurgs) or other lines in case of wardens because i'm sick of the 'but you have pbt' being the reason classes are only half done.

Spell turn = no no.. pulsing spell to stop people casting effects for which you can possibly have 97% resists to and which you can simply interrupt by hitting them (unless they use moc)..

Bad idea .... the bugged interruption code and the high resists have nerfed all mages enough

Put Bladeturn the way it is supposed to =)
Turn the blade around and kick the people in the head with it =)

Hestethun attacks you with hes spear.
Hestethuns attack miss and is reflected by by the energy shield.
Your energy shield fades.
You hit hestethun with hes spear for 600 damage + crit for 400 damage.
You prepare to quickcast next spell
You feel a shimmering energy shield surround you.
Hestethun attacks you with hes spear.
Hestethuns attack miss and is reflected by by the energy shield.
Your energy shield fades.
You hit hestethun with hes spear for 560 damage + crit for 340 damage.
Hestethun dies.
You just killed hestethun!
Duel ends.

I'd be ok with a nerf to my PBT, i would only ask for the following in return;

instamezz
self absorb buffer (15%)
baseline stun
triple speed and duration on pets

I'm an earth theurg... the only nerf that needs to be done is to the amount of power it takes to run

With MCL1 and serenity 2, I can just about keep going with buffing the group and keeping PBT running... by siting on my ass the rest of the time :-P

Rofl..

Even some Wardens i know warn off making a warden because that they hit for less than a Druid.

Bubblebots etc.. :rolleyes:
