PBAOE keep defence a thing of the past?

last night i was at DC when the albs took it from the hibs- there was around 8 to 10 hibs in the lords room including chanters

i ran up to the lords room and got pbaoed(for around 160 /flex )

pet then owned the chanter while wizzys GTAOEed lords room....combined with a alb charge up there the hibs didn't stand a chance now(apart from some alb using /stick and lagging lord into wall :D)

it seems like time of the USP/teador/zedof deathspam is at an end

Well a little while ago the same thing happened to Hibernia that has happened to Midgard.

Nearly everyone rolled a mana chanter/eldricht. (Where Mids rolled Shadowblades)

So okay, a couple of luri bombs won't be able to stop you now but give it a month or so and you'll have dozens and dozens of level 50 mana specced PBAoE's going off in your face every other second.

We might now lack the power we had but we're gonna make it up in numbers. :D

Teador is rather busy on Mid/Exc I think.
Usp has been deleted so he only exist as a lowbie now :)
Zedorf, dunno haven't seen him :D

No afaik that's the chars he plays now on prydwen.
Gave the enchanter up I believe :)

Zedorf is now enchantments spec also so no more pbaoe deathspam from that outlet :( although most of you have probably been killed by his damage buff on other peoples weapons without realising it :)

yea we took the lords room wihtout much problem but thats should have been easier since we were about 5 times more than you =)

we sure had a problems getting the doors cause the second our wizzys stopped AEing the doors we were nuked to death by like 3 pbaoers :rolleyes:
I was going on just enough life to be able to take 2 hits =)

but hehe thrinn I heard someone from PL took you down at last :clap: :clap:

What a lame post. You come here, asking if it's a thing of the past? When on Saturday/Sunday we PBAE'd 2 attacks by Mids and 2 Attacks by Albs.

The second Alb attack got to the Lord's chamber, and we had 3 PBAErs there, Maryl, myself and Krypt, and we kicked your asses sooo bad. Not to mention the lovely GTAE we had ourselves. (and our lovely tanks, bard, druids that kept us alive).

Pffft. Can't believe you actually made a post like this after having the Alb Zerg that attacked DC decimated inside DC this weekend...

Fear not, a few devoted Albs still have pbaoe. Tis fun when I use MoC when surrounded or attacked solo and pbaoe someone down, or use it during confused melee's at milegates where is less likely you will be noticed. I have yet to defend a keep though, can't you raid them at like an hour earlier? I can't sit at my computer forever waiting to use it :eek:

But... you will never silence the suicide bombers... never!

Problem is Gelid, the number of Alb RvR's at present.

The minute we attack an Alb keep that has defenders, we get 5FG Zerging us...and we are generally only 2-3FG max.

In our keep defenses (DC mainly), we have at max, 3FG against a zerg. DC is nice for Hibs to have, it keeps the RvR action going. The minute you Albs/Mids take it, fewer Hibs pop. They simply can't be arsed to spent 10+ minutes getting to Emain for you to zerg. Having DC, gives them somewhere to regroup and rest.

Take this weekend. There was decent 3-way RvR, why? Because Hib held DC for most of Sat/Sun.

Think about it...just a little...in between lulls in the zerg.

Yea the amount of Hibs who camped DC this weekend waiting for some easy rp's were high...

serious thou, say what you want about the zergs this weekend, but there was some ace 3way fights :)

yeah i was in a few "holy shit i cant belive im still alive" big fights call it zerging but anything that lasts over 30 seconds is a memorable fight to me.

Bullshit.

There were at most 4/5 people inside DC "camping", same as most times at Bledmeer or Benowyc. I, as stated before, was doing other stuff on my second PC. There was one other 'chanter there, and the rest, AFAIK, were sitting crafting.

What happened was simply that as soon as you or the Mids decided it was time to take DC, we summoned all we could to defend. Fine, some people logged out alts inside DC, but to say that a lot of people camped DC is crap. If you want to flame, at least get your facts right.

I don't think I've ever seen more than 3fg defending an alb keep. On the other hand if you're attacking with 3fg, it's really hard to take a keep with 2-3fg defenders.

Hmm... no way 10 hibs can defend against the Alb zergs that have been swarming Emain recently (seriously, 89 non-anon albs in Emain on Tuesday night, ffs, go take a relic or something and don't be boring please :) ).

Zedorf made a mistake on the respecs, ended up full enchantments.

Teador is levelling his Healer on Excal, but will be back.

And as for Usp, he's gone round the clock and is now in his 73rd level, Mythic really need to fix that :)

On a serious note, I am finding I have more fun with my Bard than I do with Usp, landing an AoE mezz is so much fun :)

.... or getting killed in gorge by camping mids/albs
.... or getting killed in breifine by camping mids/albs
.... or getting killed in emain after 2mins reaching it...

Much easier to type /release , medal on and there you go, no 5-10mins running across the frontier.
