What I'm trying to point out is that most people would never buy it in the first place

That´s correct. But that doesn´t mean it´s ok to copy it.

When i can pay a fair price for downloading a movie/game i will. Last time that was possible was with halflife through steam. And i bought it because it was easy.

The problem is the price + distribution. Hence my claim in an earlier thread. Discs? Hopelessly outdated. :p

Are you living in some remote place in Alaska? :)

While I partially agree that the ability to pay for a download, I still prefer to buy the games and get a CD/DVD plus a handbook etc.

Aside from daoc and UT I have never purchased a game but tbh I wouldn't buy them anyway because im not that interested, I let my mates dl them or buy them and I install them only when I have been nagged enough to play them (this applies to lan capable games only, i don't play games unless it's a multiplayer EVER!!)

If all the pirated games disapeard and you could not crack a game I simply would't play any, not even if they only cost £5

if your going to make a comparrison then the things should at least be comparable.

what you said is like me saying instead of shitting in a toilet youd just shit in someones pocket because you couldnt find a toilet.

both about shitting, but essentially totally different.

No if you want to compare shitting to the piracy issue like i did. It would have to be; you have to take a shit. No bushes around and only crowded street for miles (long ass street), can't make it home. You see a public toilet.. But it's a pay toilet. but omg the price is unreasonable. You really want to take a shit, but wont pay what they want. So you break the door open and take a crap. Leaving whoever set up the toilet to pay for the damages.

That would be more like "saying" it in shit. Have to differentiate between individual words and the metaphor used.

i download alot of stuff

games...i find there is generally something wrong with a game if i download it so i prefer to pay for them... however if its a shitty game that i know will take me like 5 mins to complete ill download it, that way if it doesn't work no lose...
also if its for the ps2 or something you need to bust the thing open to put a chip in it, cba with that

movies... i prefer to w8 and watch em on sky...

music... download, theres nothing wrong with with them, they work fine and its a waste of money imo to buy it...

however, i have a weak spot for tv seris, and download alot of them from america, cause england are like 6 months behind, also i dont have alot of tv acsess... this is conveniant for me... and i dont think its ileagel

Well with games i always go buy them, as that makes me able to play it online. Single player games sucks.

With music there is a few bands which music i buy, and with others i hear it out first and if i like it i buy it.

With movies, i cba to DL them most of the time because it takes long time, but i do it a few times when i can't find the specific movie in the stores.
