Investing in public transport? Why? Its privately owned. I don't want to pay for that.

Building new roads, they only fill with traffic? Yes, thats because for the last 50 years nobody has been building new roads.

Tbh non of the parties other than BNP will sort this country out, if only it was run by people that were not racists or thugs.

I would vote any party in that would adopt a tough approach on criminals, I would gladly pay more taxes to fund tough punishments and more police to whoop ass.

Bring back teachers/police officers who demand respect and can beat it out if necessary from the scum bags, without fear of being dragged up on some tribunal because some fat arsed lazy cow with no job and 6 kids complains because her 3rd son Levi Addidas robinson got told off for being a ****.

Please someone create a fucking party that will do these things with no reason other than because it is fucking right. I will vote along with the other millions that is a guarantee.

I have no idea if the scheme would end up costing me more. It probably will but the thing I'm most annoyed about is that the millions of cars who already don't pay road tax etc will have an even cheaper deal since the price of fuel is supposed to come down alongside the scheme.

As it stands at the moment the only expense on their car is fuel. You take that away and they're laughing even more at all the legit drivers. Nice one Tony.

If anything Labour have just run out of steam, have no ideas and have created far more problem for the country that they have fixed.

UKIP - doing the Tories a favour but removing the less palatable Tory members, obviously means that Cameron is changing the party as so many of the old guard are getting pissed off and leaving.

BNP - Lots of rhetoric, racist and bigots and wouldn't have a clue how to run the country,

Not really. Problem with Labour (and the Thatcher regime before them) is that until quite recently they thought they were untouchable; the Tories under Hague, Howard and the other nonentity were pretty much unelectable, so Labour knew they could afford to ignore the electorate. They were also pretty smart from a re-election POV by making so many people beholden to them by expanding the public sector to its current ridiculous levels, which is still the main problem for the Tories.

As someone else on this thread has already said, governments that stay in power too long are always bad for us; two terms and then a smart electorate should kick ´em out no matter what.

There are cases where ASBOs have been broken umpteen times, dragged before court umpteen times, and still nothing changes. 55% of ASBOs are breached - and that's that they know of. Besides, what kind of fucked up system is it, where you get an ASBO that prevents you from breaking the law? Surely, now call me crazy, but surely that's what the law is about in the first place? You shouldn't need an extra buffer zone between breaking the law and getting punished for it. Unless your jails are full, I suppose.

David Cameron's "hug a hoody" speech - the negative spin that Labour put on it (and you have to ask yourself why) was actually about addressing the causes of this epidemic of youth crime by examining its roots. He said we should look at the family unit, the role of drug abuse, children growing up in care, the lack of individual responsibility. He's right. You apply the law to deal with the criminal acts, and you apply social changes to prevent more kids following the same path. If you just try to deal with the end product, it will be like King Canute trying to order back the tide.

I don't know if the Conservatives could fix it. I don't even know if it will be possible within a short scale of time, it could take years to undo. I do know that I have to hope they can, because it's obvious that Labour can't and won't.
