Patching to US

Just a heads up for the Mods,

I may have patched to the US last night instead of patching to 1.63. I don't think I did anything stupid, it just downloaded a huge patch, said I was running the wrong version. It didn't seem to update the update.dat file so I ran Cam again and it downloaded a smaller patch and I was good to go.

I'm not sure if I patched to US or what but the original 45mb patch definately completed so it wasn't a case of downloading an incomplete patch.

if it doesn't mangle yer update.dat it's probably ok...

(I'd have expected a 45 meg update back to 1.63 if you updated to the US patch - that said I'm sure I was only 5 meg or so ... unless you created a phousing directory and didn't put anything in it )

Nah, couldn't log in. That's the reason I thought I might have hit the US. I checked Caps Lock and everything, still no joy. It was indeed odd but there you go.

if it said wrong version that's different to being to the US servers - it'd just say "invalid account" or whatever if you'd connected to the american servers....
