Patched to US version?

I know its no longer meant to do it, Mythic haven't told my DAoC as it's happened to me a few times since the little patch they did, so here's the info for the new forums.

In the directory you installed your DAoC/SI (eg. C:\Shrouded Isles) open the file update.dat into notepad. Replace all the text in the file with the relevent text below. Save the update.dat then rerun DAoC.


For Classic DAOC

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/camelot/mpatch.dat

For Shrouded Isles

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

Just set the read only attribute on the update.dat file and you won't have any problems again

Hmm.. tried this today with my shrouded isles EU daoc. Changed the stuff in the update.dat. But when I try to log on with a US daoc account (only SI activated, so should work) it sais the password is wrong or something... Anything else I need to change to make the EU daoc work with the US account?

read only wont work all the time.. i know i had that but that rule got deleted every once in a while

best thing i found out was to make a copy of the EU version of that .dat file....

I found out last night that you need more stuff in update.dat now. The right stuff is this incase anyone else needs it: (Btw, worked like a charm for me now)
