Just got the patch thing, and i installed the 1.85 extra update from goa sites which can be dl'd for ToA, Catas and DR.

When i try to enter the game though, to see if the servers are up, it tells me "You are trying to log onto an account that has access to expansions beyong Trials of Atlantis. However, this computer only has Trials of Atlantis installed, so you may find that you cannot access some content. Please, either log in using the appropriate client shortcut, or install the expansion before attempting to play."

I haven't bought any expensions beyond ToA.
When i click "OK" on the pop-up, it gives me the login screen with all the servers, but they're all down atm anyhow.

Hmm I normally wait till patched server is back up and then log off to execute the downloaded file. Saves a whole load of worry if they have problems and delay the patch. Hope its up soon.

Did you install the correct exe for your Game? If so, I wouldn't worry about the server message until after its all finished and back up.

Hmmm, just found this from 27/10.
The clicky seems to only give you New ToA update client.

Catacombs expansion free, New Trials of Atlantis client ends

The Catacombs expansion has become free on Wednesday in order to enable all our players to enjoy the best of Dark Age of Camelot. As a consequence, the New Trials of Atlantis client, which has all the graphics and textures of Catacombs without giving access to the Catacombs zones has become useless and will be replaced by the Catacombs client. This change will be made automatically in about one week. If you want to upgrade earlier you can download the patch here, which will install the missing files and update your New TOA client to the Catacombs version. You won't need to download the entire Catacombs client since the 430MB folder will allow you to explore the underground zones of this expansion.
If you play Trials of Atlantis, your version will not be automatically changed into Catacombs and you will still be able to use this client if you like. However, you can download the full Catacombs client in parallel (in the Download section of the website) and then use one client or the other at anytime.

In addition ; the price of Darkness Rising has been lowered. It is now available in video game stores at £7.99. It's time to get that special mount and Champion weapon if you didn't have it already !

News are booring, i never like them. So cba reading them.

Still it says it will function in ToA client aswell so i'm not to fussed. Not like i'll use catacombs anyhow; i've done my part of PvE in this game.

I read it that those on New ToA are forced to upgrade, where as old ToA clients carry on as they are.

Update from New Trials of Atlantis to Catacombs on Friday
The Catacombs expansion has been free since last Wednesday. Those of you playing with the New Trials of Atlantis client - NtoA being the Catacombs graphically enhanced version Trials of Atlantis- may now download the patch this url .
With it you can enjoy the entire Catacombs expansion. From Friday morning onwards the NToA clients which connect to the game will automatically update to the Catacombs client.
Those of you using the Trials of Atlantis client -ToA- may still get the Catacombs expansion if they so desire in the Download section. You may also choose to carry on using the ToA client.

i updated my old toa client at same time as DR client, was a 15mb d/l and got it in about 30 secs, still works fine.

Not if u like me think ranged targeting on cata/dr is horrible and much harder Got nothing to do with pc at all.

you can run the cata client (the most stable daoc client) with classic models/textures

The improvements that have been in the patch notes, but not seen much emphasis are the client optimizations that will launch with the expansion. We've staffed up our team this year, and we had fresh eyes (and the programming bandwidth) to look at our game client.

The client that launches with Labyrinth (and is patched to all of our other clients) should be the best performing client we've had in years. "

PS - I always thought the game looked pretty ok with Anti-aliasing and Antstropic filtering switched on. Look at the screenshoots to see what I mean.

Hmm, when I try and update/use my login client I get a 303 error saying that 'I couldn't complete product update' anyone know what this is about?

This is for ToA client and I havn't played for awhile so I might be a few patches behind.

Hmm, I also tryed to DL the ToA client patch for 1.84-1.85 and got the message that I do not have a valid installation for ToA ( wich I do ). Could this have to do with the fact I do not have 1.84 thus can't update from 1.84 to 1.85?

Any help appriciated!

Hmm, I just tryed to update Catacombs and DR via the mythic updater and that works well. ToA still doesn't work and grants the 303 error msg. Anyone who got a clue what it could be?
