Patch 1.53 Issue with RA

Refering to the following:
The intent of the changes is to make primary melee classes (i.e. those melee classes that do not have spells) able to close with their enemies better, and to be able to have the chance of preventing their enemies from escaping once they have closed with them.

The following changes to realm abilities for Armsmen, Mercenaries, Heroes, Blademasters, Warriors and Berserkers have been made:

- Reduced cost of the Realm Ability Ignore Pain to 8 points.

- Reduced cost of the Realm Ability Determination to 1/2/3/6/10 points.

- Reduced cost of the Realm Ability Purge for these classes to 4 points.

- Added new passive Realm Ability "Prevent Flight" When active, if the tank's selected target turns and runs, the tank has a 35% chance of hitting and proccing a 50% snare for 10 seconds. Cost: 14 points.

All of these primary melee tanks will be able to respec their Realm abilities to take advantage of these changes.

Just wondering why the hybrid classes (ie Champions) have been left out of this, or do they think that they've done enough in 1.52 for us, so they don't need to bother for another 6 months or so.l...

Think wot primary mezzers would say after 1.52´s fall out mez and 1.53´s unmezzable tanks (who can stop a zerker now?!) And all hib caster´s stun´ll be fall to 3 sec which equals one cast... Well 1.51+1.52 gave hibs luv, and in 1.53 it seems that the guy who´s working on Hibernia´s on Vacation and the guy who´s working in rvr issues´s died...

Hmm, i can follow you on the concern of champions not getting the same RA rules as the other tanks,,,... but i cant see why they are left out :/
And then i pray, plz give my ranger some frecking +con :D

dammit.....Ignore Pain down to 8 points? Heck, why don't they throw in a stealthoption and a instantmez for 2 points each aswell?

I mean..common...the "Prevent Flight" RA deffo sounds nice....gives them a good chance to catch those fleeing bastards but why did they lower the points for the other RA's?

I am with Yadleen here...for gods sake (and of course for my own benefit cause I am a greedy selfish bastard :) ) give Champs "Determination" and lower the costs for the other abilities aswell.

Champs can easily chase their enemies down anyway - they have snare. Also they can interrupt from range with their dd / debuffs. A hero/BM basically has to run up and smack someone to disrupt them.

You can only hope :)

I was hoping that they would reduce Purge and IP costs for Champs as well as the other melee classes they have stated. At the moment I think IP at 14 pts (+6 pts FA2) is way too expensive. With regard to RA I think mine will be better spent elsewhere as it currently stands. (Wild Arc comes to mind...)

ns melee to but got a insta uber spell that does atleast 15hp...

ok we should NOT have that changes bc we esier maby "before"
get rps but we had harder time to get exp so why not
have harder to get ip (sb speciall ra 10 points infs 10 ns 14 :( )

the point of geting more rps for being more "uber" is going down,
why not also let u exp esier lets say now u get 3xexp insted.

fells like for them that have speed long time to get rps like i need 30 more k then i give u back was for nothing............

this post has nothing to do with ns only the freeking changes
and i think champs should also include the melee class

ps i dont like see hiden it destroys both for archers and assains
they should have done something like 1/3/6/10 and u see a litle further.........

and purge 4 is even worse hope that the "prevent ra" dont go down to 1 point

NS isn't a melee class as such, it's a rogue and hence doesn't get these things cos you have stealth. :p

Yep, I totally agree wit you there Cjk (at least when we see that "Prevent Flight" will be added to the RA-list...but what purpose would the reduced costs of the other RAs serve?

Whenever Mythic try and fix something they always go to far and end up overpowering something or totally gimping summin else... To many examples of this to go through them all now... its getting ridiculous.

Hehe..thanks Nova but well..does that mean I get moose and about 3000hp? ;)

And about that sucky elf stuff....I heard that elves get all the cute chicks. Besides....at least my char isn't wearing mascara when he goes into battle ;p

well i respecced IP out, costed too much

and moose is so irritating. once per 30mins, and makes u the big EVERYONE HIT ME target, and has lag..... so many times u will see heros dead with half hp coz of the fucking lag :/

i didnt read whole theread so somebody may of said it already but . mythic probably lowered the cost of those ra's to enable tanks to buy Prevent flight . 14 ra pnts is a lot . especially when tanks ussually buy IP 1st which is what rr2+ just for that ? then 14 points for Pf would make it nearly RR4 and with purge nearly rr5 . hence imo a good option to allow them to repsec there ra's prevent flight is an uber ra "gonna find it funy to see all the bards/healers/casters moaning cos they got snared" the main poster is posting as if he thinks hib need better stuff . he obviously didnt read 1.51 and 1.52 patch notes , just one bost alone helps hib own rvr in 1.52 and thats INSTA ae mezz , sure some of u guys might say it wont have much impact . but rom personal experience insta ae mezz owns all even sized battles . asyou will notice when it arrives .

ussually hib grp is filled with 2 casters? 2 druids ? 1 bard a warden and rest tanks ? with that in a 8v8 bard insta mezz's whilst hib taks go straight for alb casters . hib casters stun/snuke our tanks owning them . if one or more alb melee classes get close enough to hib caster/healer they flee and constantly get healed or escape the alb . prevent flight stops this from happeing . 1st week of prevent flight on usa there were loads of hibs whining on the boards because of it :) even though they had it themselves they whined because most there classes were casters and they didnt have as many tanks as other realms. :)
