Ive some questions about respec.

Now i realise there is an all line respec where u can start from scatch if you use it b4 u have passed 2 lvls from the time of the patch goin live but ....

This is to do with the one line lvl 40 respec. Do i have 2 lvls to use this too? ie can i use it at 42?

My shaman is 42.95 and im kinda holdin off lvlin till i know as i wanna respec to 14 mend from 26 but i wanna change back if i dont like it.

I got confused re-reading this hehe i hope somone can help:)

You only get the lvl 20 and 40 respec at those levels and can not use them later. At level 42 the only respec you will get is the full respec

If i can remember from when US was patched If your char is active(all rdy made) when patch goes live you get 1 full respec which you must use within 2 lvl.

Dont quote me on that though :p

AFAIK, if you are levels 42+ when the patch goes live you get one full respec and two single line respecs (level 20 and 40 single respecs). Level 22+ you just get one line respec.

After that, if you used your single line respec once you hit level 40-42 you get another single line respec but you MUST use it within the level 40-42 boundaries. Not sure if level 22+ gets a full respec also come 1.52.

you get the lvl 40 single line respec AS you pass lvl 40. If you dont ding lvl 40 you dont get it. Also if you have the full respec you dont get the single line ones unless you are lower than 20 or 40 and then Ding those lvls

Since there's alot of different facts I'll come with the right ones :p
taken from Herald:

Full Respec

If you have a current character in Dark Age of Camelot, you may elect to do a full respec. This resets ALL of your character's specializations to zero (or that spec's minimum allowed for your class), and gives you the equivalent number of spec points back to you so you can retrain however you see fit. Please note that respeccing is a one-time thing, and is irrevocable. You cannot do a full respec again, so be sure you know how you want to spec your character before you do this.

NOTE: if your class has a "min spec level" on any specialization then you will be taken down to the minimum allowed when you do a /respec all based on your level. You cannot go under your class minimum (based on your level) for those specializations.

ALSO NOTE: Full respec only is available to current characters of the game, and is offered to them as a way to take advantage of the many game features that have been implemented since the game began (and presumably since their character was initially specced). Future characters will receive the normal "spec-line" respecs at levels 20 and 40, but not a full respec.

To do a full respec, go to your trainer, select him, and type "/respec ALL". You will only have a limited time to do a full respec: within two levels of when you first log into this version. So, if you are level 22, and you want to respec, you will have to do it before you attain 24th level.

In order to facilitate faster re-training, you can now select a specialization at your trainer and click the train button multiple times. Previously, you had to select the specialization you wanted to train in every time you trained in it. Now you can just select it once and click the "train" button multiple times.

Single-Skill Respec

From now on, when a character reaches the levels of 20 and 40, they will gain the ability to "de-train" a specialization by doing a single-spec respec.

To do a single-skill respec (when you reach level 20 or level 40), go to your trainer, select him, and type "/respec SKILL NAME". Please note that you cannot redo this - once you respec a skill, it is done.

Please note that you must perform a spec-line respec within the level that you gain the ability to do so: at level 20 or level 40. You will not be able to "hold" spec-line respecs forever; you must use them at those specific levels.

Also, please note that you gain this skill when you level from 19 to 20 and from 39 to 40. This means that an existing character who is level 20 will not gain the level 20 single-spec respec, but since everyone gets the full respec, that player could fully respec (and in fact must do so before attaining level 22 if they wish to respec at all before level 40).

Finally, you will not gain the single-skill respec if you are eligible to use a full respec and have not. So, if you are 19th level, you have a full respec available to you, and you advance to 20, you will not gain the single-skill respec because you still have the full respec available to you. Any changes you want to make to your character can be made through the full respec at that time.

Slightly off-topic, but I'll give it a whirl ... when 1.50 arrived, you got two /respec REALM chances, right? Do you get another one when 1.52 arrives? Or do they automatically reset all the RAs on every char to none? Or do they in some other way compensate to those that spent lots of points on RAs like IP and the other stuff that becomes cheaper?
Just curious since I fk'ed up my first respec

in 1.53 main tanks from each realm get another /respec realm. Main tanks = those who get cheaper RA's.

This can all be found on the herald ...

I am sure if you screw it up, you can just badger GOA to get another go though... :)

I begged GOA repeatedly for another /respec realm - I chose abilities which should have been great but are frankly broken (Vanish being the main offender).

Their answer was that Mythic intend to fix elements of the expensive RA's I took, and therefore all I have to do is wait (ho hum) and they shall do what they were meant to do.

I responded with "But I don't want to wait six months to fix what should already work, I want another respec please!"

They denied me my request claiming they were unable to do this. Frankly I don't believe them, and it was one of the main deciding factors in my semi-retiring Jadow. I may be back at a later stage, but not for a while.

I was missing a realm respec, so i mailed rightnow and got one in a few hours time.

Oh great, so they definately lied to me. Nice.

I hate it when people do that, it's so obvious that ... well... USERS TALK.

Shame that they didn't just do the truth, seeing as I probably would still be playing (and purchasing future subscriptions) if they'd done it...

There is a bug with the realm respecs that make some people only get 1 spec.

Guess you got a noob guy from helpdesk to handle you request. :)

More importantly....What happens to Autotrain points when you respec??

F

As far as i understand when you respec, you get you points back. But some points are spent to keep the so called autotrained skills up to minimum lvl.
