Does anyone know any program to put passwords on a folder?

If this exists for windows it would be verry easy to circumvent.
I would suggest using WinTP to encrypt the files you want to 'hide'

It could be made difficult to circumvent in NTFS..

I've used FolderGuard, it's pretty nifty. Tho I'd recommend to backup your porn on a cd and run from there instead.

Which reminds me, when the hell are dual layer dvd-rs out? ;)

USB2 HDD is the way forward I tell you ;)

No im just living at a boarding school and some ppl are hacking eachother... And it's nice to have something private ;)

If it's your own pc, surely it'd be better to just lock the entire thing rather than specific folders.

Indeed.

Make use of encryption and user permissions. XP Pro has these easily accessible, I don't know how good the encryption is, mind.

Something like PGP is more hardcore if there's something you really want to protect.

In the short term get a good personal firewall like Outpost and then have a read of Windows XP Home User Self Defence.

This is obviously less useful if you don't run XP... ;)

Soon my friend, soon! It's already possible to write a dual layer dvd-r in a Pioneer A06 with a minor firmware upgrade, so it can't be far away. :)
