Passport renewal

I can't remember what the lady in the chemist said about this so I'm asking here.

I got my provisional license about 2 weeks ago and 3-4 weeks ago I had some photographs taken for it. When I was there, the lady asked me if I intended to renew my passport before 6 months. I said no (as I didnt think I'd need to).

However, a school trip to Barcelona and just been unveiled and I'm worried that for some reason, because i've recently just done my provisional license, I won't be able to renew my passport?

Anyone shed some light on this before I check it out at the post officer?

afaik thier no link whatsoever as one is buy the dvla the other by the home office

When i had some pics done last month they guy asked me and he said oh well you cant have a background on passport photos and your not allowed to wear your glasses. He did say some other stuff but i can't remember.

Thats probably why she wanted to know.

Get it done immediately if it needs renewing, mine took 6 weeks to come, came 2 days before my trip to Tenerife.

As for the above stuff, you cant smile or have a background. And if its a shit photo, you have to wait 10 years for a new passport!

You would think so but what if you were to buy new glasses. The idea is if your at passport control you can take your glasses off if they request it.
