Just watched this, having bought a copy on DVD. What an enjoyable movie ! Classic fairy tale themes and a charming soundtrack.

It certainly won't appeal to all. But if you've still some of the innocent wonder left in you from when you were a child, and still like to hear old fashioned stories, this is for you. Enjoy.

In spanish and subtitled to English - you dont notice it much after a while, lots of sequences rely on what you see and not what you hear.

If anyone - like me - has been entranced by the beautiful piano music in Pan's Labyrinth - I have the piano sheet music score to both the opening music on the DVD main menu and the little girl's lullaby.

The sheet music's not available to buy anywhere. I've transposed it by listening to the music in the movie and writing it down in musical notation. Both pieces are very simple and easy to play.

Great scenography and pictures, but what a weird plot. Seeing what you can do today with special effects, that frog under the tree had me crying. Nasty. And that big goat, how laggy-looking was that?
Boy, was I disappointed. And where was the plot? I know it was an art-movie, but still, build up some excitement for god's sake!

it looks nice, anyone remember the old series with fairy tales from years ago by jim hensons creature shop? cant recall what it was called but that was great. I like films with fairy tale stuff in, brothers grimm was a great laugh imo.

i thought it was awesome, very suprised actually since i started watching it with some skepticism about "another kids film" but were some quite gruesome bits in it

People are too Hollywoodisionated at this moment, and I was so happy after I had seen this movie. This movie actually had a feeling to it!


Awesome movie with a wellthought out plot and they really suceed to make this wonderful feeling throughout the movie.
