Honestly, if they can't be arsed to breed or are stupid enough to ignore the signals that thier bodies are sending them to breed then why are why interfering?

Yes they are cute but it seems they are at an evolutionary dead end and we humans are obsessed with keeping a failing species going. Spend the money elsewhere on species that are viable but have endangered habitats, if Pandas can't sort themselves out then they need to be allowed to die off if that is what nature intends.

It seems to me Pandas have a short breeding season because they are a bit stupid, I agree, but that isn't a bad thing. Stupid creatures don't do anything to their environment to warrant breeding quickly. They eat barely enough to keep themselves moving a bit and spend the rest of there time sleeping or being impressed by a tree.

Humans on the other hand have come so close to extinction on so many occasions that we are one of the least genetically diverse species on the planet - and we all breed like catholics! We are shockingly inbred - if we ever meet another intelligent life form, frankly it will be quite embarressing.

It turns out that you can pick any two chimps from neighbouring troups and they have nearly ten times the genetic diversity that out whole species has. We are evolutionary red-necks. Its no wonder we walk around disagreeing about unimportant things and shooting each other is it? The genetics that tell most other life forms that that kind of behaviour is wrong seems to have been bred out of us.

The only thing that is going wrong for the Panda is that we quite like Panda sandwiches.
