Er, Pokemon, but on acid, I guess. Monkeys with machine guns and the like.

Crafting and base building thrown in.

Been watching people play it on Twitch, it does look good I must admit, I enjoy pokemon games now and again so this should be right up my street.

Closest game I can think of is actually Ark, but instead of dinosaurs you have gun wielding Pokemon. It's free on Gamepass and for an Early Access release it is both polished and has tons of content.
