Why slash

I have just started playing a Paladin, got to lvl 23 now woo-hoo!

In all the posts I've seen about paladins the question is always how high to set slash. No one seems to discuss whether to spec in Thrust or Crush instead of Slash. Is there a reason for this?

Slash has the best anytime style (amethyst slash @ 29) and i think slash get bonuses vs midgard studded and hibernia scaled armor, and no penalty to midgard chain.

Our appalingly low dexterity makes thrust a poor choice IMHO.

Crush would be fine, but Slash styles are - also IMHO - superior.

Take slash to 29 and get the best anytime style in the game.
