Pah! Office XP!

Huh. Just installed Office XP and it removed all my standard Windows fonts. Not very nice. :(

Actually, I've seen this happen before on one or two PCs at work over the years, after installing different apps. If you experience this problem you can download these core Windows fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, Trebuchet etc) from here.

Probably not worth a new thread but share and share alike an' all that. :)

I hate it when that happens. Mainly because I have tonnes of fonts, and redownloading them (if I can find them), and reinstalling the ones I have on disk takes forever.

Went back to 2000? Why?

Couldn't find the thread about the BW virus thingy, but I've put email notification on this thread so maybe I'll know soon...

Lazarus - dunno what happened to them - Bitstream Font Navigator couldn't find them anywhere on my HD and the copies on the various MS CDs are compressed. Couldn't be arsed to spend too long it so just downloaded new ones.

So... do you have a virus? :)

Just received a notification in Outlook 2002 about your reply to this thread. No probs at all and no patching done.

But then... I do have up-to-date AV software. :D

Did you ever fix it, SerialKilla?

/edit. Oh yeah! You uninstalled.

Will try again soon.
Will do before a reinstall of Windows to see if its working. I had same AV upto date but it still thinks I had a virus.
