ok, got a new cpu and mobo installed yesterday...

now i get the pagefile warning(that windows needs to increase it)

normaly my comp uses like 400 but while running daoc... same setings as before the update to my comp....1,6gig 0o. never seen it that high.

not even dual logged. i didnt get the warining before when i was duallogging whit old system.

could it be that i need to upgrade to better ram. i use pc2700 and i have 1x 512 and 1x265 ddr of those.

alltho game plays bit better than before, the page file thing makes me worryd.

cpu is: amd 64 3200+ (2000mhz) venice core
mobo is: ASRock dual sata2

gfx is ati radeon x800pro agp....256mb ddr3 etc :)

old cpu was p4 2,4ghz and mobo was asus p4s8x

Have you just gone from 32 to 64 bit?

I don't run on a 64bit cpu but I'd expect running programs to take up as much as twice as much memory than 32bit due to the use of larger references.

768+1600Mb is roughly twice 768+400Mb so I wouldn't be unduely worried though increasing your RAM from 768MB will help a lot.

-Right click "My Computer" -> Click "Properties"
Will bring up the System Properties window.

-Click on the "Advanced" Tab
wil bring up a window with 3 categories, Performance, User Profiles, Startup and Recovery.

-Click on "Settings" in the Performance group, (the first one)
This will bring up the Performance Options.

-Click on the "Advanced" Tab
You will see a group called "Virtual Memory",
this is where you change the size of the paging file.

-Click "Change"
This will bring up the Virtual Memory options.

-Click your main drive (normally C:\) in the Drives menu (top one)

-Click "Custom Size" in the options below
-Set the Initial Size and Maximum Size to Double your ram,
e.g if your ram is 1 GB,
1 gb = 1024 Mb, so your page file will be 2048 Mb
If i understand correctly you have 512+256
So your page file should be 1536 Mb

-Click "Set"
-Click "Ok"
-Click "Apply", then Click "Ok"

You now have a static size for your page file
