Also as far as Aussie roads go, they are fecking awful, ruin the rims on any car in days because they are just bumpy as hell, and Id never live there without having a 4x4

Meh also if you can go watch an AFL game its awesomely exciting, Up the Western Bulldogs! (Not sure if its the season now though)

And if you can't tell I just spent a year travelling Aus, and I love it too pieces

Whoa!!

Tdc ensure you have a fantastic time for me please. Now, from someone who has done so in the past, use your GF to get us our pics of totty wearing next to nothing.

Steps:

1) Say "Ooh missus Tdc you look nice in that outfit"
2) Look around for the totty that would excite the FH rabble
3) Say "Hmm, actually the scenery is pretty good round here, I know! I shall take a pic of you AND the scenery"
4) Position missus Tdc to the left or right of totty targeted in step 2 above.
5) Zoom in on the totty and take a pic, say "damn, you moved, let me take another"
6) Zoom out and take one of missus Tdc.
7) Make excuse to go to cyb0rcafe and upload pics to the FH gallery.
8) Sit back and think of the good deed you have done for us lot.

Meh West Coast suck, Geelong rocked it this season and the Bulldogs vs the Lions was the first game I saw it rocked.

hehe Mrs TdC was not amused when I backed her into a group of skimpy bikini clad bronzed young ladies :) she appears to have a built-in detector of bamboozlement and skullduggery, and cottoned on right away. sadly yesterday was a virtual plethora of firm young womanhood dressed in things that should be illegal tbh, and I also had lived under the impression that topless sunning was not done in Oz; how wrong I was :)

last day today :(

correct! however, I am now en route to Sydney Airport :/ according to my spies, the weather in lovely Holland is a penile-shrinking 5C and raining o0 oh well, at least I get to pretend to be an jetsetter while I slouch my way around SYD/KL/AMS on my way home :)

back in the netherlands this morning at 06:30. holland's grey and cold. my feet are frozen, and I've only just got the heater working again. all the people here seem pale and miserable, I feel pale and miserable. my gf's boss (and mate) has passed away suddenly, and she's rushed off to work to be with the nursing team, and I had two speeding tickets in the mail. home again, home again jiggedy jig.

Very pretty. Did you do a blog? Shame you didn't get a chance to see Sydney Harbour at New Years.

written blog ;) and yesh, I'd have liked that. as it was, I found the place very pretty. it had an almost unreal quality to it, like it was a film set or something along those lines. mostly because it wasn't as large as I thought it would be.

one more. this is actually a 360 of 80 mile beach on the west coast, but autostitch's gone and put it together in a way that is logical, but not what I expected in my jetlagged state ;)

Yeah, I do think Sydney Harbour is one of the best urban views in the world. Like you said, its a lot smaller than you expect, so unlike say, San Francisco or even New York, you can take it all in in one go, especially when you're coming in on the ferry. Of course Melbourne makes up for it by being far better for a night out :)

west coast clearly is the best of all Australia xD
heh imo, yes. ofc, you can meet the same kinds of people on both, but to generalize vastly, I'd say that if you're into some peace and quiet, like beaches, wildlife, lying out under the stars and don't mind the odd snake/insect/goanna or two, then the west coast of Australia, between Perth and Broome certainly is a place to visit (though I would advise skipping Karratha and Port Hedland by going into Karijini Nat. Park). The east coast is obv much more built up peoplewise and there are whole hordes of backpacker/traveler people there to keep you company/go out with/surf with/etc while still having an eyeful of nature and other things :)

heehee indeed it's a stonking view, but not overwhelming like the cities you mention. In fact, Sydney felt very amicable to me, imo because having lived in Holland for the last 22 years, cities or places that are very large tend to throw me off a bit if you know what I mean. Sydney, while large enough, had a central area that could still be walked well enough, and for other spots the bus and rail systems were imo very impressive, taking me where ever I wanted. Also, I felt completely safe at all times in the city, which added to my general feeling of comfort. No particularly hefty nights out though, unless you count a couple of bottles of wine and a sublime steak at the Food and Wine Co. in Darling Harbour ;) Melbourne better you say? Good, I'll have to remember, because teh gf and I have been making plans to visit Oz once or twice more, because we still want to do the top end (roughly Cairns/Darwin/Broome) and I want to do the bottom end, roughly Perth to Melbourne :)

If I go back it'll be west coast for me next time. I want to go to Christmas Island (some of the best diving in the world apparently), then Perth/Freemantle. Maybe this time next year.
