hehe, caledonia didnt exist when i was lvl 32, i'm talking about quite a while ago, back then we couldnt just port into a battleground and run around in complete safety :p, we had to have risk for our fun, and go to odin's :D

were quite a few lvl 30-36 people from all realms back then.

remember, most people at that lvl were mains, so not twinked, and DF didnt exist either so +con and +hits items were much harder to get etc.... it's EASY to cap stats thesedays with all the extra items and DF, along with most lowbie characters having a higher lvl main to use for cash/items etc... back then that wasnt the case at all, as i'm sure you yourself should know :)

at the mo i have almost 700 hitpoints at lvl 40, that's unbuffed, using only items to increase them, but without items it's only something like JUST over 420ish, doesnt even reach 440 i think (havent checked in two lvl's though), hitting a lvl 30ish mage for 420 was instakill back then, with almost zero +hits or +con due to shortage of items... i'd be surprised if most mages had barely over 350 hits at that lvl (kobbies, elves, avalonians of course, britons, norsemen and unwashed celts would have more of course :)).

How can the possibly nerf archers more? Mythic aren't good game developers.

in the same percentage as misses.

They only resist it though if they have a decent <insert type of reist here > to that particualr spell. Its not all the time on mobs and players.

actually it is, i resist a couple of spells per mob (mostly, not allways but i can usually expect 1 of four DD's to get resisted, although it's not uncommon to have three in a row get resisted on yellows, had six on one pull before...), dont know of any caster that doesnt, point is that we have ways around it in pve, snare's, stuns etc.... we can mostly get away with it for just some extra downtime, it can make killing the mob impossible for archers though.

same on players. the chances of totally resisting a spell isnt anything to do with your resists, it's down to mythics caster code only.

cept when the root gets resisted... :)

archers have armour/melee weapons which is their fall back in theory....

Admittedly it seems stupid to me that a wizard is better at running from a monster (after unleashing their plethora of spells) than a tank (who'll have ran out of endurance)

it's 15% chance of resistance from a same-level mob
it's 15% chance on any player (they removed the to-hit changes)
it's a lot higher on purple monsters :)

your 26% spirit resist doesn't make a cleric's smite get "Blah resists the effect." more it just makes it go "You hit Blah for 250 (-260)"
(ok, ok that's more than 26% resist but you get the idea :))

the second number (which is already subtracted - he hit for 250 not for -10, that confuses some people) is the amount removed from resistance.

Ah I see now how the spell resist works. Thanks for pointing it out. I was under the impression of it causing a complete resist.
