I was replying to Tzeencht's post about 50 % beeing cap WITH buffs, let's make it simple.

26 % from items
5 % race resist
6 % avoid magic lvl 2
16-24 % buffs (depends on which lvl of buff)

Now pick up that calculator of yours

On the other hand albs are likely to get high heat / cold / matter buffs off friars, while hibs are likely to get 8/16 for them off druids. So it all evens out. And bards will likely be running speed or end not resist chants.

Dunno what server you are playing on... but how many friars are there? certainly not enough to keep people buffed well.

armsman with 34% base absorb, + his physical resists + BoF + avoid pain lvl 1 or 2.. sheesh

absorb on armor is simply a x% boost to af (and x% higher af cap), not to x% added to "resist melee".
