If we were to move to the BY forum we would be fooked:
The following is a list of guidelines that posters on the blueyonder gaming service forums should adhere to. Failure to do so could result in a removal of your posting rights.
Do not use profanity or sexually explicit language.
Do not engage in personal attacks.
Do not abuse someone because of their race, colour, sex, or religious beliefs.
Do not use a nickname that breaks any of the Code of Conduct.
Do not flood or spam chat of any description. This includes repeated use of capitals.
Do not provoke others or cause trouble. If you wish to argue with people then go to icq or email.
Do not post URLs that point to inappropriate content, such as pornography, warez, cheats or virus applications.
Do not reignite inflammatory threads by creating new threads of the same topic.
Do not cross post any thread over multiple forums. If your thread is important you can contact the forum admin and enquire about a forum wide announcement.
Signatures must not exceed 6 lines (including gap lines) and should adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Do not avoid the forum censor in any way.
Do not attempt to increase your post count by posting smilies, one word comments or random letters repeatedly to threads on any forum. High usage is accepted aslong as you are sensible.
Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions may lead to one of the following:
An email from the forum admin.
Resetting of your post count.
Removal of posting permissions.
In addition to these guidelines the following advice is worth keeping in mind when using the forums:
You should be aware that people will have different opinions from yourself and be able to handle that in a mature manner.
Act as you would in real life; remember it's other people out there you're talking to. The Internet brings so many people together yet makes it very impersonal without use of gesture or expression, so make use of smilies to show your mood or intent; it makes it a lot simpler and eases the chance of misunderstanding!
Lurk before you leap; its often best to get a feel for the forum your in and realising whats acceptable before delving in. Something thats new to you may be old hat to others. Have a good read and find out first.
You don't have to be cheery and happy to use the forums, but make a bad reputation for yourself by moaning etc, and you may find it causes trouble for you. Remember we're all here to share common interests as a pastime.
Be forgiving of others; we were all newbies once. When someone makes a mistake, whether it's a spelling error, a stupid question or a wrong answer, be kind about it. If it's a minor error you may not need to say anything. Even if you feel strongly about it, think twice before reacting. Having good manners yourself doesn't give you license to correct everyone else.
