OT: SWG beta application

Has anyone sent in an application yet ? =) I have, tho I doubt I'll make it for the first stage of it. As they put it over there 'it's like winning the lottery'

Just another MMORPG which looks nice to play and I hope I get the chance to play it for free for some time
Dark Age of Camelot is my first MMORPG and to my opinion a very nice one to start with

Yeah... indeed. I knew it was star wars but I can't see how this game will work. Although if you can like make a jedi and do all the jedi stuff it might be cool...

i've applied for it it looks nice, but im thinking shadowbane looks nicer, so ill apply for that aswell when they start taking more apps

I will just stick to DAoC, unless I get to play some other for free at least for some period of time. Of course I also mean that the client will be downloadble in this case.

The 2 MMORPGs Im waiting to try are SWG and planetside

Still remains to be seen if they can offer the experience DAoC does with the RvR, which is the part I love, so I imagine I'll still be here at DAoC whatever

This is by far the hardest aspect in the developing of an MMORPG. Large PvP wars and any PvP as a matter of fact is extremely hard to make to work. Take UO for example.... PvP as plain boring, the factions were a MAJOR lag-fest, not graphics (I mean look at UO ), but connection in general. The PvP in UO is just so simple and doesn't work.

As if they will do anything about such a thing... all he said is that it is pants. It's not like he said, "in the game the blabla is really badly done and the blabla", you ge the point.
From what I have seen the interface in SB looks really pants, at least in all the screenshots. The graphics are pretty much the same class as DAoC.... I see from the screens that the world is very empty aswell. But anyhoo, strayed OT again.

*Shrug* I'm in a beta of a MMORPG and I've broken the NDA. Big deal. Don't want to do it here though since some idiot might report it ;D

The thing is that it's very hard to catch you or prove that you broke it. Even if you happen to have the same nick for example on these boards and in the beta game, it's still hard to prove.

Sorry to say but many games that are over-hyped come out as slight or major disappointments
