Is this legitimate by the CoC?. Lately i've rvr'd a lot on my merc and before primetime i've had some cracking fights 1 vs 1/ 2 vs 1, although later in the evenings im getting steamrolled :(. Therefore if it's ok i'd like to do battle with any of you guys (Bd's and Sm's with overintercepting pets need not apply). If it takes your fancy drop a message here or PM and we could sort something out :).

Do not underestimate the power of the Myrmidon Ogre ;)

If you organize it using MSN or Mirc etc i think its against the CoC, but if you just randomly come across a few other peeps then have some duels its ok.

Well last time I've seen a GM reply about this when someone wanted to arrange a "duel day" in Hadrian's when we were still in OF and some GM said it was not illegal BUT if a GM would notice something like this you could be wiped by high level mobs which the GM would spawn at your duel area or something like that.

Then again I think duelling to death (I.e Realm Point farming sort of) is not allowed but when you duel till like 5% or 1% hp the above thing I said applies, atleast that was what I can remember from the last time someone tried to arrange a duel contest thing between all realms.

Though I've never seen this happen (the mob spawning) eventhough we used to have alot of duels near APK and MPK in Emain a long time ago but then again those were not planned as far as I remember as they just happend basically every night.

I remember Jarakin had a wedding and got married to a norse chick.
Members of mid and hib were there (not sure if any albs) and the wedding went peacefully.
Also in the crowd was a large dwarf called Kemor...

Things we going well until a few people started chalenging others, and people had little 1 on 1 fights with the others watching.

Then suddenly a few dozen hibernian guards ran out of the woods and killed all the mids, now this might have been expected apart from the small detail that the wedding took place in hadrians wall. <grin>

Edit: just found a blast from the past, wrong wedding however.

I think GOA spokesman said that it isn't against CoC to set a 1vs1 via IRC or MSN, but not 100% sure

Pets will both melee each other for crap with the insane ABS of buffed pets. Frost stallion nukes will proc for at least 300 on a yell mob. Game over!

Throw in ML10 warlord on stallion (+25% ABS for 35s, in practice cuts down melee damage by 1/2 - 2/3rds on buffed pets) and it'd be a walkover.

Dunno, mebbe a decent shield tank might give a buffed up ml9 pet a close run. Remember Illas (shield hero) nearly beat a buffed up stallion once, woulda won if it wasn't nuking him.

Sorry for nerdy pet crap.

Dont think both will melee for crap, since ml9 pet usually hits for 500 on red centaurs, ofc yours buffed :), and it got absorb code like a lvl 70 mob :worthy:

Organising solo fights with other realms is a bad thing if you ask me, your intentions may be fair play, but people could say , " well go play on camlann if you like that sort of thing".

And of course then you put thoughts into people heads like, " Well if he/she can organise that sort of stuff, then what else are they organising? " .

No Smoke without fire.

Think about it.

Aye, on one hand they may appear to be organising duels, where as in secret they are plotting a massive invasion of GOA's headquarters using nothing but trained antelope.

Or not.

Ok, spoke to Zenythe ingame, and it seems that this counts as both x-realming and rp farming. Therefore if any of you folks see me out in the frontier, give me a /wave or something and we can continue from there :).

Just to quote your sig Ethild:

[Hib/Prydwen]: Ethilds 50 Warden RR5 <Severance>, Minikene 50 Ranger RR6 <Severance>
[Alb/Prydwen]: Ethild 50 Wizard RR4 <The Dragon Senate>

This may also raise a few eyebrows aswell, wheather it be for the wrong or right reasons.

Ahh yes, because I used to play Alb, that must mean I'm plotting a dark sinister campaign of world domination.

I dont play him much. Infact I've not played him for nearly 3 months. Largely because of people like yourself. I dont enjoy fighting an enemy stealther only to have the only 7 scouts in the group jump on you.

Sure, if thats how you want to play, thats your perogative. But I think today proved why Minikene should sta in retirement.

Hugging someone after a zerg, just makes it worse.

You concider that was his point maybe?

I would hope not. Why would you deliberately want to frustrate your enemies? That just makes them not want to come back... unless thats your idea of victory? Having no enemies left to play with?

I'm not saying it's my idea I'm just suggesting it might have been his idea.

And in a way yes. I do see the irony of Midgard being so ... eh ... absent atm after they pwned Prydwen basicly for a year in OF ... though I wouldn't want to think they are so absent cause we frustrated them into it .. more of a realmdynamic thingy
