Organised RVR (out to the fg's if you still exist)

Im frankly tierd of all the zergs and the whine they bring behind from all 3 realms, so i propose we have organised battles arranged via the main rvr channels #celticfist and #stealthzerg
I know its x-realming but tbh im out of ideas, camping towers and zerging is boring imo so this is my attempt to play the game how I like.

I just want youre views to how this could be made into a reality and fair to both sides.
One idea i had was to say set borders for a certain area the given grps cant leave so that we will eventually find each other without giving the advantage to one side.
I play this game for fun not rps so i dont care if i died 10 times trying but enjoying it, there is nothing more satisfying to me than a close fg vs fg where all the little things make a big difference :) so keep the "yes feed them more rp" comments to yourself cus i honestly do not care.
This is in no way or form approved by goa or its gm's


Ideas, Suggestions.

not even a week has passed since NF release, give it a few and the fgs will start dominating rvr again.

Then this could work as a temporary fix :)
either way if the gank grps stop running at the zergs they will disband quicker i think

Groove did some nice fg action at bled twr 4 yesterday, they swam under water to get behind the albzerg to slaughter them ;)

been thinking same thoughts alot, and had lots of ideas but always a way for others to f*ck them up .. say we get this zone like BG thing .. all ppl from group must be out of port keep within 5mins or so? if some1 is left behind, or some1 leave group - 5min timer till all 8 gets ported back to telekeep? how would bb's work? etc :)

bbs cant be stopped tbh, eventually there will be sum1 turn up with a fully buffed grp neway so may aswell allow them.
The area will never be the same as it will be decided on irc at the time, minimising the chances of adds.


As far as porting etc, the way i see it. 2 grps say when they enter the zone, where they come in is up to them, then relay to the 2 people in the convo on irc. At that point the duel has begun, if you have a ld fraid thats the way these things go just as it would be in open field rvr, if you get spotted youll have to fight -1 person. No leaving the zone means you cannot go back to youre buffbots and buff them so make do with what you have on the field.

If they zone out they cant come back, grp will have to fight 7 man. I dont see ld'ing being a problem as we are picking the area so just choose somewhere remote to minimise lag if you have someone on a tentative connection.

There is a lot of trust involced between the parties involved, but then you dont have to duel them again if they dont play by the rules that have been set before hand :)

Personally im hoping once things have settled, regular zones will be formed again.

Most of the place has to be zergs due to all the bloody towers scattered about, theres no real 'open' fields anymore.

This is of cause even worse for soloers, who would need decent ocean access to get to a hunting ground unseen.

I notice theres a nice patch of open land with no towers around for quite a distance beneath sursbrook that would make a nice soloers area which would be easy access for all realms. So take the bloody hint soloers :p

Well, 1 fg organized raids, sounds both good and bad. Good cuz i hate to meet zergs, but i also hate to meet perfect set groups. Then random groups will be slaughtered easy and that means even more rps for the uber groups and then they will be even harder the next time..

bah enough QQing.

I just dunno how you cant find fg vs fg fights anymore, we had 5 tonight asfar i reckon. Less than pre-NF true but it's still something

Probably easier to find FG fights if you're in one of the zerg realms. =o
Everytime we saw a FG of mids or albs another 50 would run up during the fight. :(

Well im talking form my experience, been running a few nights now and found maybe 2-3 fights worth having in 3 hrs or so, along with the usual stealther compliment. All the rest were grps with a 3-6fg support not far away.
This has been the same in mid,alb and hib frontires far as i have experienced so far. Maybe im running in the wrong places but i tend to avoid the towers and such places and big fights on the map, and camping docks is no challenge at all.
Just my 2 cents

seems to me you want a regular soccer game chronic.
"cant leave zone to buff" rules doesent apply in love or war
imo, use every dirty trick in the book as long as it doesent include drag window, third party programs.. you know what i mean :)

Yeh but you cant expect the other grp to wait around for your ld to come back, rebuff port back regrp etc etc.
As for zone boundaries the reason is simple, if people are kept within a certain area we wil find each other quicker and reduce the time xxx has to call his/her little friends to leech some easy rps

The less rules u suggest the easier it will be to make ppl follow em ;)

The idea of trying to make an informal fg area is a good one but don't try to make any kinda rules on how the fgs should act (except zerging ofc :clap: ) or ppl just won't bother.
