Overrated or not? I bought a packet about 30 minutes ago and I have to say that I am bitterly disappointed, I am forever hearing how devine these biscuits are and I haven't tried them in about 7 years so I decided to give them a second try this afternoon. All I can say is what a waste of money! They aren't cheap and yet they don't taste half as good as the Aldi version called 'Madonnas', you get 6 Oreo biscuits in a pack for 99p and yet you can buy 2 full packs of Madonnas for £1.18 and you get 32 biscuits. The Madonnas taste much more like a premium biscuit than the Oreo does and delivers far more taste and quantity at a much lower price.

So I decided to do a poll, are Oreo's overrated or not?

What?!?! Hershey's is utter shite and that is the biggest seller in the states, that stuff isn't bloody chocolate but chocolate flavoured vegtable oil bars!

You ain't wrong there but the now defunct Abbey Crunch was a superior oaty biscuit compared to the Hobnob.

Aye, they just don't make 'em like they used too.
I found a packet of Rich Tea sadley lacking, and the fun mini-choc bars I ate in school during the 80's now hold no more joy, as all the goodness has been legislated out.

I couldn't take the pain of my childhood dreams being turned into shallow imitations, and hung up my sweet tooth, retired and unloved. I thought it just me, but then my brother tucked into a Turkish Delight, and looked at it like it was some past lover who he had found in bed with his best friend (Damn you Fido, how could you). He too has put away his sweet tooth, he just can't stand to be let down any further.

I now wonder, will we see a renaissance of out childhood favourites, or are we doomed o go, forever into the eternal lunchbreak, biscuit less and broken, like the last unloved digestive in the bottom of the packet, cracked, beaten and broken?

i have to say that i do like oreos mainly because we had them for the first time on our holiday in amsterdam and they bring back fond memories, however my current biscuit of choice would have to be....

bugger me they really are sublime, they have this syrupy thing going on and woah mama it sure works!

hobnobs are food of the gods (though b2's biccy of choice is the humble custard cream) and boasters with zee chocolate chips unt zee hazel nuts also kick arse.

i dont much go for american choccy but reeces peanut butter cups are simply yum!

aye, i order my orero's from the US. costs a tad more lol but its WELL worth it compared to the utter shit they try to make here in europe.

if you have a mate that lives in the US, ask him to buy you a box and try those.

if not stay the HELL away from the shit thats sold here. they are so far away from the original you COULD just aswell eat coal.
