If you stare at the flag instead of the dot, you get a cool effect of a colored picture turning slowly into black and white.

I think its bullshit, I tried it properly first time round then I refreshed the page left it for 35secs or so whilst not looking at the screen at all then moved the mouse onto it and the same thing happened as the last time.

i thought that but u can move your eyes and it changes colour, - your mouse can be still!

Well, when I take the two pictures you've linked to, look at the spot at the blue/yellow one, then go back to the B/W it has colours on it!
Why don't you show us a picture that has colours on from the start, of the castle. That'd prove me wrong

ah thats what is spose to happen, sorry misunderstood it thought the blurry one was what was spose to happen

sorry, its actually because the first picture is the negative of the image, when it turns to black and white your mind/eyes change it to full colour.
