True romance is a legendary film ;) as is pulp + resevoir....

Jackie Brown was good except I made possibly the dumbest screw-up in the history of screw-ups with that DVD...

/me watched side2 first by mistake got to the end and wandered why the film made no sense what so ever :(

DOH!

OH BTW. I thought Enemy at the Gates was sucky :) Just my opinion, blade + blade II are awesome however :)

Yup, Amelie is a great film. I loved it to bits.

Just fucking disappointed that a 2-disc version came out less then 2 months after the original single disc's release. I therefore refuse to buy it.

all 5 to me are mediocre.

I've seen more films than I've had hot dinners and i wouldnt buy any of them

A few good suggestions from the other guys.

i.e True romance...get the r1 unrated version (one of my fave films)

Memento (2 disc r1)

Any of the coen brothers' efforts. (all good imo)

I find that indie films are the most original and enjoyable to watch with a few obvious exceptions.

Anyways probably none of these will be in the list i was just bored :)

Heh

If it's the active verb then it's "saw", if it's being used as a past participle then it's "seen".

Have these films been seen by anyone?
I saw that film today.
I had seen that film yesterday.

And so on.

Put it like this, it makes it easier if you realise that the word "seen" is the past -ed form of the verb to See (compare "looked" to the present form, "look").

Leggy gets it right for example:

"I've seen more films than I've had hot dinners and i wouldnt buy any of them"

Newbie doesn't

"oh yeh i seen road to perdition today aswell, amazing film. anyone else seen it? and what did you think?"

:)

Class is dismissed etc.

;)

I seen Road To Perdition earlier, pretty good film, possibly the best Tom Hanks film I have seen in a while. I had to do something as some sneaky so-and-so is uploading UT2K3 to my computer  & :D

didnt pay any extra, actually it was reduced a fiver for some reason. you get interviews, deleted scenes, talk shows, award shows, behind the scenes montage, probably some more but i cant remember. about 3 hours worth over all.

Run Lola Run is quite a decent film, got it on DVD ages ago in a sale in Virgin or somewhere. Bit "Groundhog Day" though :)

Franka Potente is rather tasty in an odd way as well - she's in the Bourne Identity too, which is one film I wouldn't mind seeing.

And I haven't seen RtP yet (passive verb ner!), don't know if I fancy seeing it or not. I'll probably wait until it's out on rental then check it out.

Not a huge fan of Hanks anyway, so that may be a contributing reason to my apathy about it :)

The bourne identity is fucking abysmal, sar. Avoid.

Saw Road to Perdition today, it's not bad. Looks nice, but is a bit too sentimental for my taste.

I thought The Others was very creepy, very atomospheric, but it is one of thos films that just wont do for watching more than twice. Good to watch with a lady though ;)

Blade was superb, couldnt get enough of it.

Blade 2, was enjoyable, although i thought it lacked the style of the first (altho the special effects were better).

Truman Show, was Ok.

I enjoyed Enemy At The Gates, but was a little dissapointed overall, still worth it though.

What Lies Beneath or Final Destination are probably better buys in the "creepy suspense" type film.

I thought Pulp Fiction, was good, but severely overrated.

Black Hawk Down is a good action film, its basically one big battle, great direction and special effects and certainly passable to good acting.

Is Fifth Element out on DVD yet? I always liked that film.

wel it is overrated, peopel talk about it like its the best film ever, and it isnt. Its qutie funy, its got good acting, and an interesting story line, i was entertained by it, but I didnt see what ALL the fuss was about. It was certainly unusual, and not a bad film, just not imo the classic its supposed to be.

The only thing worth watching in Final Destination is when the guy gets hit by the bus, It made me piss!

As for Black Hawk Down, thats more a rental IMHO. The bit I liked was when the woman picks the gun up...
