What an amazing show, i never thought that they would be able to top the show we had over here for the opening of the 2006 Asian Games but they have.

Hopefully the games themselves will be as entertaining.

the opening of the Asian games was in Doha right? I thought it was good, but strange how none of them were Asian, they were all white. Although someone superman flying off a crane onto the stage was cool.

I was there for a week, I had no idea what was going on when I was walking along the road (near burger king round about) and armed police came up and told me to put my bag down and move away. It was fucking scary. We don't do shit like that when the queen is moving :<

Was amazing, best opening I have seen so far, loved the drums at the start. Really well coordinated the atmosphere in the stadium must have been amazing, the countries coming out is loooong though those poor lasses in the white standing dancing the whole time must be boiling!

Watched it on eurosport HD, man was amazing, and as previously stated the drums bit was fantastic. Now bring on the finals already

The atheletes or the performers? I was actually at the staduim for the opening and the closing ceremnies and it was awesome.

I dont remember too many bikinis tbh was a awesome light show and entertianment inside was wicked.....

I thought it was staggering. An awesome opening ceremony. The Chinese certainly delivered and then some.

lol, definitely going to have to pull something special out the hat in London to top that, it was incredible.

You know what will happen...they'll have to pick someone from an ethnic minority who'll turn out to be an illegal immigrant or someone with a criminal record who will then sue the government under health & safety and then claim a six-figure compensation claim. Meanwhile fathers for justice will stage one of their dumb-arse protests, they'll discover a massive hole under the stadium that was somehow overlooked, and then a week before its due to start they'll realise they've forgotton to build the olympic swimming pool !

I can just hope they'll torrent this if its actually good, coz I've stopped watching everything that has to do with the olympic games on TV since like 98.
