Yeah, very typical market ploy. Funcom gets alot of market exposure towards their largest potential customer base - gamers. And also free distribution / account management. Fileplanet gets the revenue that the increased number of hits / clicks on their ads and also potential new subscription fees for those that are very interested in playing OB.

I'm happy to wait for the release. While a beta might be fun I'd suck at giving constructive feedback so it'd be a wasted place.

Actually, I believe the Euro release is on the 23rd, and the 3 day ahead release in Europe is on the 20th.

The 20th release date is for North America and some other places. If you pay the 5 euro you can start playing on the 20th in Europe and on the 17th in USA.

Taken from "Game" the UK Game stores generally arent wrong on dates due to them also having shops where as most sites just have websites and usually supply dodgy dates.

i'd recon atleast for those first 13 levels. anything after that i'd guess is still being NDA.

Yep, i was like WTF! Lvl 13 is just the prologue.....

Being 80 lvls, i dont know if at higher lvls the pace will decrease (surely should) but i think im not wrong if i said that 80 AoC levels are equal to 60 WoW lvls more or so.

Quite fast if 80 conan levels are equiv to 60 WoW levels.

About the same I'd reckon. Levelling past 20 is an okay pace and there is alot to see aswell. But yeah, you don't get to see much except Tortage. And that's tweaked ALOT compared to the other zones to easier accomodate new players (first impression has alot to say for gamers). My max in beta was level 22, but that was with a shitty PC. It kind of kneeled abit when I came to Conalls Valley. Oh, and this is the Wage of Shonan beta btw, just a disclaimer

Well i'm just hoping as a Conqueror i'll find xpeeeee groups easy they seem like a decent melee/hybrid support char... bit like a paladin/friar combo just without the shield I guess.

Been wondering if there would be the option of buying the game key and the game via download. Im not a fan of boxes etc, i just want to play straight and already have the 30GB installed...

Most likely this site when conan is due for release I got something from there once and it was a good dl speed (ofcourse I'm unsure what its like now)

the client dl itself I wouldnt say its a straight 30gig tho most likely 8-10gig download just very well compressed.

Seriously don't bother if it is capped at 13. You get that it no time, and there is no PvP/exploring you can do on Tortage.
