You don't do 400 dmg on a cabalist because the only way you can do that is with critshot. That requires standing still and is still blocked by BT (a lvl 19 cabby has that) and then imm. you got the pet up your ass before you can line up another critshot and fire it.

When I went BG with my cabby archer rarely killed me. Mostly it was the other way around, since that pet is nasty on archers

Most common scenario:

a) Critshot, absorbed by BT
b) Pet on his ass, while cabba does /face QC-nearsight

either
c) Archer running in agony like a headless chicken while getting 2 stacking DoT's + pet on his ass.

d) Archer trying to stealth but simmy sniffs him up leaving him in the mercy of the cabba
e) Archer running towards the cabba to kill in melee, pet procs stun like mad, diseased/DoT'ed, debuffed, lifetapped dead archer

I did 340 damage with my bolt on cloth casters that conned orange to me, and thats with my shammy bolt (20 cave @ lvl 23)

Yepp my personal opinion that Cave shammys are the best casters.

This is what happened me like 6 months ago with my lvl 20 Cave shammy in thid.

Me and a wizzie saw eachother at ATK(was at the time when mid was the TK campers ) So we both did a bolt on eachother, he did about 90 dmg on me and I did 270 dmg on him.

Remember him being yellow

Well wizzies have a very big disadvantage against shammys, and they bloody know that . They hit me for 100ish damage, I hit them for over 300 damage..I have chain armor, they have cloth...I have 500+ hp @lvl 24, they have 400ish? So they will get me to 80% hp with 1 bolt, I will get them to 15%

Since archers are getting the new abilities...many hunters in mid has been made. So...if a caster i lining up for a crit shot on you...20 more mid hunters are doing too. Bye Cabbie...

Actually a clever cabbie can deal with 2 (dumb) archers at once (perhaps 3 - not too sure though) Here's what happened to me, just make sure you don't make the same mistakes these guys did :

Both archers working as a team seemed to release their crit shots at exactly the same time - both got absorbed by bladeturn.

The pet doesn't seem to aggro automatically until you actually do damage and the cabalist doesn't get target either - so at this point I quickly press - last attacker - face - pet attack.

Silly archers were far too close and were in range of a quickcast aoe dot - I then stack a single cast baseline dot on the one the pet isn't currently nuking.

Then I just sat down and had a cup of tea while they slowly died their inevitable death - most enjoyable
