there was this special squid on planet earth deep sea one episode where it had these UV lights that go red and blue entising its foodys to come closer and then it snags them

yeah theyre great the family cephalopod are all really smart and quite affectionate creatures but because they have tenticles and suckers they arn't as well loved by most as say dolphins.

i saw a show where this octopus was going nuts being stroked by a diver it was like a puppy soo cute and theres this type of squid called humboit i think and theyre known as killer squid, in mexico they fish for them and if yu fall in they attack and even kill...

however they are being snagged on these huge spiked wire things called jigs and they are terrified, when the marine biologists went to a non fishing area they swam with these squid and they were so gentle and lovely, its a shame people only like the "cute" animals tbh

Cuttlefish are quite useful too, the dried out backbone shells of dead cuttlefish are full of calcium and can be fed to birds to help with their bones and strength of the eggs they lay.

Well captive bred parrots havent got access to the same foods they would normally have in the wild, so we need to compensate their diet to give them the best chance of good health.

And before anyone makes smart comments about releasing the parrots in the wild, some of the ones we bred are so rare that if it wasn't for the captive bred birds they would be near extinct by now.

i was watching the discovery channel the other day, they went on about giant squids... and how they were hard to locate and to capture(coz there so deep)

Maybe because this is only the second one ever found and the first I think was rather dead. This one will be fresh. It's human nature to be inquisitive can learn possibly many amazing things about it. These may just purely be facisinating in widening our knowledge of how it lives and the history of this planet, or we may find something of great use.
