It does seem strange that the pair of you register around the same time and are both fans the same pretty obscure game... My opinion - the game sounds like a crap version of Mech Warrior / Mech Assault....

Nothing like Mech Warrior or Assault - play it when it's out - you'll know the difference.
In the US EBGames are one of the companies taking care of preorders, and TriSynergy are working on Europe. Assuming Game will be selling it I think.
I think it's more like Jedi Knight II when you play online with sabres only - it's close combat for the most part, and projectiles are a minor part to be honest. Oh except 90ft tall 'bots instead of people wielding sabres. Anyhoo... latest from the beta - T&L lookin good - shadows are nice and I will get some new screens to you eventually - i'm revising for my exams at the mo. I, did, however have a chance to play a team demolition which was gr8.
oh and I don't kno anyone from SW London.... maybe I should.

Heh, well how big were transformers compared to, say, a Warlord from OMF? (seen at bkkbazaar.com/omf/bgbots/Warlord/Full/warlord04.jpg)
The average (say, Jaguar) OMF HAR stands at 90 ft tall. Warlord i'd give another 10-20 feet.
I mean, Walord has missles, grenades and other such doohickeys and is basically a Tank of the future. Sounds like a fair fight
