At the moment i have 2x 22" samsung panels running off my 8800gtx anyone know if it possible to run a 3rd 22" or 24" monitor off a single card? Sadly my mobo abit-ip35 pro isn't sli enabled. So is there anyway to split one of the dvi signals in two or similar?

No idea about splitting but you could always have a look about for an older PCi card, like Radeon 9200 or something.

Yup, pretty much your only choice. The only single cards that will drive more than 2 screens are the likes of Matrox business end kit.
You don't have to use SLI to use multiple machines, even in your motherboard you can run two identical cards ( or two different ones, obviously ) with multiple screenage.

Aye. basically most cards dont produce enough signal to be split in 3

If you are going to buy an extra card, whatever you do don't mix chip manufacturers, as it can cause all kinds of driver conflicts!
