Thats how most average people feel why have i worked since i left school paying huge amounts of tax and national insurance. When some 65 year old can walk into this country and claim a house, benifits, food and then go to the NHS and get free treatment. The UK is considered a joke in europe and it really pisses me off to think when i am old unless i pay into my own pension i will get nothing back as they are running out of money.

Well a packet of cigarettes in england costs around £5.80 and they cost under 10p to produce/ship and get to the shelves here. Smokers PAY for the NHS. If they don't smoke, the NHS disappears. There is no two ways about 'ooh but there will be less illness' the money pumped into the NHS by smokers VASTLY outweighs the cost to treat them.

Okay so you don't like smokers, but what you're suggesting is like telling bill gates he isn't allowed to use any microsoft products.

And to be honest, cows produce more ozone harming gases then cigarettes so maybe anyone eating burgers from cows PURELY bred to be eaten should not recieve NHS treatment anyway.

When I said earlier for example that people who just eat themselves into a state of relying on other people to pay their taxes to fund their comfortable (if you can call it that) life, people immediately started saying 'but what about immigrant spongers. I'm noty saying those who come here merely to get free stuff shoudl be ignored, they should be delt with too.

Personally I have nothing against any nationality of person living in england, that'd make me an asshole, I just don't see why SOME people should get a free ride while others pay for them.

Illegal immigrants shouldn't be here, legal ones fine as long as they work how english nationals are expected to. Obese people, so long as they do their bit, are fine, this goes for absolutely anyone. It's NOT targetting a particular area of people, I just don't like spongers fullstop whether they're english, jamaican, australian, fat, thin, smokers, drinkers, whatever.

If an english person breaks the law they get put in prison, if an immigrant breaks the law, they should be deported; if they want to stay here, just obey the simple rules. Of COURSE there are grey areas surrounding it, it's not an absolutist view, I don't think anyone should be singled out when they've done nothing wrong.

Thats correct i have a problem with people who come here and do not try to work. No other country in the world would let you do that. I like how America dose it tempory work permits if you work you have to learn English and say the Pledge then you can stay. I would like to do that in England to it may even help with the police and the NHS who would then not need to wait for a translator.

I do not think everyone that was born here should be kicked out the country would fall apart if that happened, but i do not think we should be expected to take in everyone who has a hard time when no other nation will??

No they don't take my job, they take the sort of jobs other people aren't willing to do, or do warehouse jobs for less than Brits, can't say that bothers me really. You see enough of them wandering about in town at lunch time, the great unwashed, the amount of Somalians we have in Northampton is quite scary, they don't work and they should be chucked out. On the other hand we have stacks of Polish people, most of whom do work, mostly in the industrial estates.
