My local pub has a goth night on Mondays. On the flyer it advertises all the usual suspects - industrial, metal, cybergoth... but then it adds "batcave". Nobody can ever explain to me what batcave is. Is it like music you can only hear if you are goth enough? :) I'm very intrigued.

Batcave was an early goth club.

more at wikipedia!

It goes on to explain how it lent its name to a genre. I guess its just one of those goth 'things.' Kinda like emo, but with less stripey clothes.

Cybergoth I assume is music such as VNV Nation and such.

Imagine sort of gothic vocals, such as Tiamat mixed with close enough 80s-ish synth.

That's what im guessing is.

It's poorly produced eurotrance with out of tune echoey vocals usually produced by two fat germans with goatee beards.

/slaps - That's only PARTIALLY true! =P

There's a place which sells that sort of clothes in Camden Town, called Cyberdog - Cooll shop, good music too. Not been there in ages.

I'm like the only person I know who admits to listening to Industrial/New Wave music =<
