OMG @ lair

After starting on the lair threadmill again with not so high thoughts about that cursed place just past H(ell) I was insanely surprised, all the trips with my healer to lair has been:

(1) fun
(2) even funnier
(3) Really good

Am I the only one having fun at that place? or is it some new drug they've added in the latest patches that made lair a tad bit lighter? Just got to say, hooray for the peeps going there at the moment, turned my world upside down atleast..

Never thought I'd say this but something has changed and lair is actually fun might be the fact that I only play there in the mornings, but highly reccomendable to wake up a tad bit earlier if you can

and yes.. this is neither a whine or "sum1 got pwnd" post on BW (miracles do happen)

As a Thane I did OK at lair, knowing many ppl in the groups, my reputation for not being gung ho with Mjolliner kept me in good form with the LKs, not saying I jumped the queues, as I rarely saw any, but as I was one of the few who gave an instant reply when asked if i was ready for a spot, i got in

With my healor, again, i think my rep for mezzing on target followed me around, and most peeps were glad to see me in either group.

Both were fun to me all the way, with whoodoo i only did 47-50, but with apophys i did the full 41-49.8, and enjoyed both trips, making m8s along the way.

Your reputation does proceed you at lair, hunters and SBs get it hard there till people get to know you, your damage and if your going to make a good part of the team, once ppl know you, you stop being put on the "Its a hunter, never never list" and get added like another tank.

Still, guess ill see how ppl react to my huntress soon, and then to my BD, I just hope they get a similar reception.

Well it all depends on the people in the groups.
I have had my great times and bad times.

The worst time was this weekend. Waited 4.5hours for group.. not that long time imo. Got there and it went great.. was almost DT when I arrived. After DT something went wrong. Between that DT we pulled around 7-8times maybe.. and more then 1fg died 3 of those times. I got -0.2 bubbles during that hour.. can you believe that? .. People was afk.. people pulled because they was pissed etc etc. I quited the group after 1.5 hour with a result of -0.2 bubbles.

But hey lair can't be fun all the times

Must say personally - I like much of the aspects of Lair.

Fast pull with the potential for massive pulls adds an element of danger and fun.
Alywas like people pulling when others sit down crying about being ooe/end buffs (seems how quickly people have forgotten to exp without the presious end.buff )

Only things I don't like about lair is that it is the same mobs/place over and over, and the way many people seem to get a mind melt when going there (can't tolerate downtime, crying about loot, crying about low exp yadda yadda yadda)

All in all - with the right groups - Lair can be massive fun, but otherwise - it can be very tedious and annoying.

heh, you forgot the time you waited as number 1 melee fighter for 6 hours+ and the LK was cheating on the list? lol like 5 ppl joined before you got your spot

lair is fun when u have 3+ SM's in grp cuz then it goes fast and u can get out of there DF is more fun just 'cuz it's a change of mobs. but hey wanna lvl too 50 fast go lair

Personally I think lair sux. As I don't have the possibility to get up at 7 AM in the morning and join groups I have to wait for hours and hours to get in. And when I finally get in , the group gets wiped... Repeat Infinite.

So I gave up lair, resulting in no more exp for me cause there are no other alternatives for a lvl 45+.

Now, I really wanna change this but as I've tried to arrange something like this earlier and it went SHITE , I'm now turning to someone with a bit of a leader-spirit that hates lair just as much as me. And yes, this is basically a whine-post but also a cry for help.
If anyone want to go farming for xp and seals in DF or have any other suggestions for gaining xp at 45+ without being at lair, give me a PM in-game and let's try starting something new.

I've gotto say, I went to H(ell of a fun place today) today for the first time with my healer and didn't expect the best cause of bad previous expereinces from the time with Sorry and Dragev. But it was absolutely fantastic there. Seriously, no idiots there lol :spin:

Woooot! Deriwen, best puller I've seen sofar in lair with my 2 chars that've reached lair levels Soz for not making it to lair the last couple of days but it's hard getting up early enough to avoid the lists
