I thought you had a 60D
I borrowed a mate's camera that day and we swapped between the two. Where do all the photographers hang out around here then?

I don't really game anymore which is pretty funny considering what this place is/was.

I'm looking forward to the 7D Mk2. I love my 7D, but the banding at ISO 100 gets on my nerves.

I want a 5D2. I've only been snapping since March though so perhaps I should get some use out of this first! It's just a real shame that I'm using this 135mm f/2 L on this crop sensor.

Still waiting for them to say something about the 5d3, but the rumours about an "entry level" full frame 6d sure are interesting.

6D
One of the recent rumors has been the coming of a new full frame EOS body added to the lineup. It would be in the $2000 range. It would see a drop in megapixels from the 21 of the 5D Mark II and be solely designed for ISO performance. To meet the price point, I’d expect a modified 9 point AF (more crosstype sensors).

If the 5D3 moves up the latter in performance and price, a $2000 full frame camera at launch would be an industry first and a massive seller. Canon was the first company to break the $1000 price barrier with a DSLR, no reason they can’t do it again.

Just been a price cut of a 5D2, rumours are rife of a 5D3 which will be so awesome that it'll be like the second coming (on the face) of Jesus.

I have no idea but I was thinking about a neutrino joke in my previous reply.

Tbh though, I would be happy if they brought out a 6d (or whatever) which fucked video off in favour of being a lean mean full frame beast with good low light performance. There was talk of them splitting the 5d line with one more oriented towards pro video work and the other more for stills photography. I honestly don't give a toss about DSLR video but often think that I might in the future.

I use the video function a lot more than I thought I would, but yes; dynamic range performance is absolutely priority for me, I have enough megapixels and the Sony sensors are outgunning Canon's currently.

Heh, it's a printer and some highish end video cameras (one EF mount which will have the EOS name apparently). No new DSLR's being announced anytime soon is the latest. :(

The recent rebates on the 5D Mark II have nothing to do with an imminent release of an updated camera. They have more to do with selling lots of 5D Mark IIs. I’d expect rebates to be extended right through to Christmas (Dec 25).
From Canon Rumors, he tends to know his stuff.. and he's attached a "CR2" label to it which means he is reasonably certain based on the reliableness of his sources (see complicated explanation of rating system on the right hand side). :(

Yeah not bad. Is that you on the OcUK forums? I hope it is because otherwise I think I am continually trolling the wrong person :)

The Canon EF 200-400mm f/4 L IS USM Extender 1.4x will be around before too long - Nikon have had a 200-400 f4 for bloody ages, it's one of the lenses people have been moaning at Canon to make. Will be epic for all sorts of things but priced accordingly. I do a bit of sports photography on the side and the 70-200 just isn't long enough even with the 1.4x extender. Not suggesting for a second I am ever going to be able to afford the 200-400 but.. well... it would be nice. :D

Good lord, it is teh Clown. Welcome back sir. Ignore the strange folk round here who spend too much time playing a wizard called Nggghmath' Nuksprocket in Dark Age of the Consonants, or some weird shit like that. They moved in a while back, I thought they were travellers personally, but like the residents of Dale Farm, they don't seem to be going anywhere. So fairly shit travellers one can surmise.
