Omg ! A thread NOT about CS !

Well, DoD 2.1 has been out a while now, and the lag problems have disappeared. BW actually gave us another server s we asked, but have restricted them all to 12 man. This really is not enough, and as there is now no lag thing, can you put them back to 16 man please ?
I think 12 man is just not enough to attract people, all 7 jolt servers are full every evening, as are the BY ones, but ours stay quite empty, to my mind because of the limited amount of players.
Anyone out there hear me ?

/ps apparently theres going to be a new class, paratrooper, and British weapons in 3.0, or so Ive read .

I prefer 12 man CS servers. Never got into the new version of DoD, been to busy with other games, but it would need 16 man at least, I would have thought.

I think it's stupid have they have the allies, being "American". France, if not Britain were the other "side" of the war, America has nothing to do with it until about 1 year into it!

France wernt the "other side" in the war m8, they were defeated in 1939. Most ww2 games really concentrate on the D-Day-onwards period, not suprisingly as the Americans were by then in the war, not to helps us out as much as they were pushed into it by the Japanese (Thats prolly a little harsh ). The D-Day and onwards campaigns were fought primarily by the Americans and British.
Personally I use the British skin pack from www.dodhq.com , it changes all the skins to British, as well as the flags to Union Jacks and Swastikas. The weapons also change, you now have Bren guns and Stens, and Lee Enfield rifles. I myself have kept the Tommy gun in preference to the Sten, it looks better Im afraid , also the Garrand rifle skin looks better than the Lee Enfield. Best thing to do is back them up before you install, then change just those weapon skins.
Itchy I too prefer 12 man cs servers a lot of the time, but in DoD some of the maps are much bigger, you need at least 16 to get a feel for it. Im afraid I dont play on BW servers at all anymore because of this, and neither does anyone else it seems

I have only played DoD once properly, after a couple of maps getting used to it I thought it rocked, very atmospheric, but damn hard(harder even than CS when I was a n00b), I really, really must play it again.

DoD roxx your soxx, I really must get back into it. I seem to play much better at DoD than I do CS, even though DoD seems less forgiving a game.
