Do you miss it?

I posted on the official youtube/whatnot video thread('cause i'm such a good lil boy *kihihi*) a few oldie goldie hiphop music videos and i realised that nowadays, even if eminems and x-zibits are talented in what they do, the old school still kicks their ass in my mind.

We don't have to exclude this to hippetyhoppety music, you can add your own old school rock/pop/jingle tunes as well, but as a whole, i rarely see as much class and "oomf!" as these videos still bring. If i had to choose which song to dance to at a club, you're lucky you don't see it, i'd take hammers 2legit2quit any day over some numanuma or boten anna song.

Or even compare No good(start the dance) if you like.

So, a long time no poll thing, do you miss old school and wish it'd hit back?

There was an incredible ammount of crap disguised as music in the 70s, 80s and 90s. But also some of the best songs ever.
I think it´s wrong to say: music was generally better back in the days. There are still some great bands these days. Still, I`ll never stop listening to the good old stuff.

Old school by far.

Whilst there is no doubt eminem is extremely talented, for me, NWA will always be the premier rap artist. Im also a big fan of the Beastie Boys.
Oasis will always be a million times better than your random indie band like the Arctic Monkeys.As for dance/trance, I just find todays stuff extremely boring. Maybe its my age, but id give anything to go back to the days of Artists like Talizman or The Prodigy. And as much as he tries, Robbie Williams will never be anywhere near as good as the likes of Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis Jnr.

- Iron Maiden
- Scorpions
- AC/DC
- Megadeath
- Manowar
- Judas Priest
- Metallica... not to old, but from the 90s
- Bit Aerosmith

Only new stuff i listen to is Tool and Rammstein and ofc the newer albums of those above (Iron maiden still plays after 31 years )
