Old Megadrive/Genesis game, "Flashback"

Gah! It's 4:30am :(

About an hour ago, being bored, i started looking for screenshots of old games i used to play. I was struggling to remember much, but then all of a sudden i remembered "Flashback". This might be the best game ever made for the megadrive, it owned.

However, i remember that i never got past level 4. After you took the taxi, to the nightclub thing, and entered it, i got stuck. I explored the whole nightclub, and got pwned by the security system a bit, but eventually i realised i couldn't find a way to go on. I cannot live my life properly, till i find out how i was meant to get out of the nightlcub thing. A screenshot would be preferable.

I intend to fetch my megadrive and old game collection down from the loft tomorrow, and complete that dammed game. I can't remember whether it had passwords so you didn't have to play it from start-to-finish, like most megadrive games, however even if it doesn't, i will complete that game!!

AAhhh, someone tell me how to do that level, i will not rest till i find out. Now i will go to bed, since it is late :( I'm relying on you, i cannot rest till i know!

I completed this game on emu fairly recently (I had it on the atari, great game) but I dont remember a night club bit?

explain a bit more, what was the level before? what do you have to do etc.

if all else fails, www.gamefaqs.com has all the answers.

I finished it but I remember being stuck on a bit where you had to do a very difficult jump. I think it took me weeks to finally do it (thought that was bad design really). Good game. I even liked the 3d version that I think was one of the first WIndows 95 games!!!!

Anyone remember playing a game called Weird Dreams ?

The first bit you were in a candy floss machine and had to grab bits of candyfloss before jumping onto the turning arm. Then you'd get chased by a wasp and would have to use said floss to distract it.

Then you'd get a girl throwing a ball at you which, if you miscatch it, eats you.

Then there was those desert jumping thingies.

One very, very disturbing game.

I had flashback on the Megadrive. It was such a class game. However I don't remember a club scene, I remember starting the game off in a jungle, ending up in a city (by falling down a huge hole ... ooh, memories) and of course the last level which was on a blobby alien world and of course the ending, which was just the main guy getting in a space ship. :D

I loved that game, it fucking rocked.

Hmm, well i think it was a nightclub. I believe it was when you'd first gotten to earth or something, and you took a flying taxi, and it dropped you off outside a nightclub. And inside was a mad security system...

And yes, i just got up :(

Flashback was great - but wasn't it the second part of a loose trilogy?

Another World - Flashback - Fade to Black.

I LOVED Another World, I had it for my Amiga - you were a young scientist who while experimenting got (duh) transported to another world by mistake and you had to get back to Earth (I'd have stayed there ffs). I didnt play Flashback all the way through but managed to complete Fade to Black - not bad but nothing special.

ffs I'm feeling old :)

Fade to Black was avail for the PS wasn't it?

Anyway, i started Flashback, on the normal difficulty... Did lvl1, and played through part of lvl2 so i'll be prepared for it when i go at it properly... The music during the cut scenes absolutly w00ns! :D

I've only ever played [rented] Another World or Flashback, I don't know which; all I know is I never got past the first (primarily green) screen in-game.

:(

Delphine are the French company that put these out I think?

I would so love to play flashback again, it was probably my favouritist game of all time. However I sold my megadrive to fund my need for ps games. Is there no way of getting it for PC?
Played fade to black but found it difficult for my limited skills.

Possibly :(

It wasn't a flying taxi anyhow, it was a subway train thingy with floating cars. The memories of this game are just flooding back :D

They live!

Also, i just did level2, now to try the 'nough hard level3 :uhoh: A gameshow called "Death Tower", alá "The running man", except that you get lots of baddies, rather than few elite ones. Perhaps it'd be best to save that for tomorrow though...
